Sorry if you don't like Rip but its the first one that came up.
With 24ga I usually do stovetops because I can get good surface area and great vapor production as well as more cotton/and juice.
I wrap mine by doing the first wrap around my screwdriver and then actually taking it off and wrapping it pinched flat between my fingertips. I find it a lot easier than trying to wrap it on itself!
Give it a shot! I also can suggest single coil for these as it kicks some great clouds with only 1 and you will need higher wattage for the 2.

I liked Rip's Video. I just got a Plume and did the build. However, one side died immediately after only one hit. This has happened using a trident with a dual coil build with a 1.8 ohm total resistance as well. I thought it was maybe pushing too many volts (only running a provari V2 at 3.8 at the time for the trident), but with it happening on the Plume as well, then it has to be something else. What though is a really good question.

A DNA 30 isn't going to cooperate with super low builds....if all you have is .24 ga, you might want to consider a single coil. 7 or 8 wraps on a 2-2.5 mm will work really well.

I tried this build yesterday. it came out to .6ohms and I was vaping at 25 watts and it was not working very well at all. the battery was fully charged so that wasn't an issue

My recommended build if you are running a mechanical mod with a Sony VTC series battery: dual parallels 4/5wrap around a 3/16" bit. Comes out to about 0.12-0.14 ohms when I do it.
If on a 20-25A battery like a purple Efest or LG or Panasonic or Sanyo or something: dual parallels 5/6 wrap or 24g core clapton coils
If on a regulated box mod of 50W+: dual micro-coils, 4/5 wrap, around a 1/8" bit, set in at a 45* angle. You can try claptons, I haven't yet. I have my 100W box set at about 75W; perfect balance of clouds, warmth, and throat hit, but that's with a dark horse rda and a butchered tobh v2.

In my right (more like wrong) state of mind, I'd say dual 3-strand twisted 24g 4/5wrap coils, but I'm not sure you'd want to go there.

Good luck and let us know what you decide on!

edit: forgot to say, don't wick any of these with poor quality silica. You'll just get dry hits all the time.

I just built dual micro coils at .2ohms. will this be safe on my Origin with a VTC 4 in it?
