I write a lot, mostly lyrics, some poetry. If anyone here also likes to write, even a short passage of prose, you should post it here
I'm very appreciative of others' work, and I hope to find the same. And even if you don't like it I'm still going to turn it into a song (with guitar and drums and all that, maybe piano). Oh well, we'll see. This is about 6 months old, when I lost my apartment and my car and I basically had to wander the streets with my boyfriend in order to spend time with him (and now I am finally moving out of state with him, yay! anyone from KY?)
"something sliver"
forgetting again
forgetting the patience I have to engage in
these days pass like nights
and I'll tell ya
they don't pass like yesterday, no
they don't pass like yesterday
so sorrowful
hiding a blank face
underneath a tearful mask
of what-haves-you-haven'ts
and when were you weren't?
There's nothing like a box of chocs
Or rather, a missing I love you
Underneath that same blank stare
I miss it
I'll miss it again
And again I'll miss it..
So I miss you, and that's got to be just about the truth
As far as I'm concerned
And not too far I've got a million reasons why
lined up for you to try
And I won't forget a single one of them.
No, I won't forget what I forgot
Can't take those too far anymore anyhow
And No Thing resumes,
a hardcore play-off game between
everything and nothing
the streets and my song
gone too far,
and gone too long.
