Occasionally the Polar mod in TC mode runs too hot. It’s not the tank since it works perfectly on my VBoy 200W (YiHi SX500) which is always consistent. I’ll have to go trim the coefficient back from 92 (0.00092) to 82 or 70 or 50 to get it to be more normal. Does anyone else have this issue? When it works right it’s very good, but then it’ll be running too hot and I have to dial back the coefficient to some lower random value to normalize it. I’m thinking of exchanging it.

First of all, are you sure the coils you're using are TC compatible (ie made of SS,Ni or Ti)
2nd the coefficient shouldn't get messed with it goes with the resistance of the wire you're using so unless you're absolutely sure of what you're doing don't mess with it.

Considering your tank seems to get very hot from what you're telling, i'm guessing you're messing around with settings you probably shouldn't. Stay in power mode and you should be fine (although heat will always be present at higher wattages)

I'm a long time exclusively TC user who builds with SS 316L, Ni200, and NiFe52, has 4 TC mods and I fine tune the coefficients to calibrate them. None of that is a mystery to me. It makes no sense for me to use wattage mode when there is an obvious problem and I would like to hear from someone who's another experienced TC vaper or someone who has a Polar with the same issue.
