Hi,

My ss don has a few small scratches that I'd like to polish out, any recommendations for a polish to fix? It's brand new so am hesitant to try without some advice. I have Brasso but don't know if that's too abrasive. I've also got another aluminum mod that I'd like suggestions for as well.

Thanks!

I used a wheel buffer on my ss don to make it a mirrored finish, but if i were to do it by hand I suppose that I'd use Flitz or Simichrome polish. The ss don probably wouldn't even respond to Brasso. If anything, Brasso isn't even close to abrasive enough to polish stainless steel. Flitz and similar paste polishes are very mild abrasives. Even so, you'll be at it all day unless the scratches are extremely fine/faint.

If you can get access to a wheel buffer, I'd go that route. Even a dremel with a good buffing bit would be easier than doing it by hand if the scratches are anything more than light.

If you haven't already, watch the megalodon maintinence video on the Electronicstix website. You can find it under the ecig education tab. It walked me right thru my 1st cleaning & polish. I think I remember hearing brasso was ok for aluminum, but I'm not entirely sure. I used weimans metal polish like the video suggested, and my don looks beautiful :)
