Ok, odd question: Why does it look like the gap/tolerance between the top switch and the body is much smaller than mine?
Because they are not fully assembled in the picture shown. Still turning out the small partsOk, odd question: Why does it look like the gap/tolerance between the top switch and the body is much smaller than mine?
I agree. However, have to consider we are holding them in our hands most of the day. It is a challenge to get the perfect finish that will last a very long time and not hinder the electrical properties for our application. I continue to try and find the best for everyonenickel plating is very similar to chrome plating. I actually prefer it because it's
warmer and a bit softer.
Anyway, it can be polished as chrome can. its not like paint as someone mentioned,
it is a plating done in multi step electric current chemical process. Still, dont use anything to abrasive or rub to hard. once its polished you can use a nice soft micro
fiber cloth to wipe off finger prints. The finish should last a long time if was plated
by a quality plating finisher.
Also for those that hate polishing, I have a couple of finishes for the OMEGA that will be comming out late next week. I will attach crappy cell phone pics.
This is called Silver Vein, puts you in mind of some wrought iron products, it is a hard texture finish. It is what I would imagine some Midieval armor to look like

I noticed the Gel-Gloss does not do the greatest when they are severely tarnished. I honestly don't think the plating company realized the real applicationYes, they DO polish up. I didn't have much effect with the gel-gloss and went to Blue Magic chrome polish with only a bit more success and then went to a very light, automotive paint rubbing compound. With a little bit of elbow grease... ding! more shine than when it came out of the box.
