Now I vape only fruit flavors and sometimes fruit flavors with a few drops of menthol in them

Sobranie Cocktail and Black Russian (cool colors - I was an entertainer back then)

13-15: What ever was available to be stolen/taken from someone else or shared with/by friends, including Lark (Remember those)/Viceroy, Marlboro, Winston's, Kools, Newport, Salem, etc. (and Rolling my own with one of those machines - Hippie Days and a "Street Youth"

15-21: Kool Kings (1-1 1/2 PAD)
21 - 50 . . . A progression of Kool (1-4 PAD); Kool 100's (1-2 1/2 PAD); Kool Light's 100's (1-2 1/2 PAD); Kool Super Light's 100's (1-2 PAD); Kool Ultra-Light 100's (1-2 PAD); Barkley Menthol Ultra-Light 100's (1- 1 1/2 PAD Lowest Tar & Nicotine on the market till they were discontinued {BTW: Almost stopped smoking too) and then back to Kool Ultra-Light 100's (back up to 2 PAD) . . .
Then the Government got it into their head about the marketing of Ultra-Lights and demanded the removal of the those classifications . . . Ultra-Light's No Longer Available . . .
50 . . . Kool Super Light's 100's (2 - 2 1/2 PAD); Kool Light's (2- 2 1/2 PAD sometime 3 PAD) and then the HUGH PRICE INCREASE, so Liggett Select Menthol 100's (the worst harsh tobacco taste, but MENTHOL 2 1/2 - 3 PAD) . . .
Now . . . Sorry to say I'm still smoking
- just not as much (2 - 2 1/2 PAD sometimes even only 2 PAD - depending on My "Mood", Emotions, and Fraustration) - and still trying . . .
Using - of course - the "Volt", but haven't found the one and only "Nic-juice" - at least not YET . . . I will though, still trying and steeping so many - going back and forth to find at least one to get "Me" off "analogs" permanently ! ! !
Oh - YEA, plan on getting that "Volt X2" Passthu to try too . . .

When I was 14 I started stealing my mom's menthol cigarettes. Started with Kools (possibly lights), then she/I switched to Player menthols. Don't even know if they still make those.
Then I started getting my own cigarettes and smoked Newport or Newport lights.
Then sometime in high school I switched to Marlboro Reds, then Marlboro Lights....
As an adult I usually smoked Marlboro Ultra Lights 100's.
When Camel came out with the No. 9 Pink and Black Box 100's I smoked those up until the day I quit 2 months ago.
I haven't tried a ton of vaping juices yet, but I seem to like the fruit flavors the best. I haven't had any tobacco flavors of my own, but I did try my Son-In-Law's RY4 from SI and I am looking forward to getting some of that. That was good.
I am not interested in trying any menthol flavors, but may give mint a try.
I was vaping some strawberry the other day while I was chewing Doublemint gum and that was fraking good!! Really good.

0-21 = Vicious Anti-Smoker (watched it killing my grandmother, among others)
21-23 = Occasional bar/Drunk smoker
23 = Dated a Model who smoked Newports, Kissing her was grotesque.
Option 1 = Quit dating her
Option 2 = Start smoking
Guess which I did?
23-26 = Smoked (Camel lights), Drank(whatever we had), and did drugs(whatever we could find) w/ reckless abandon
26 = Got sober (smoked more) 1.5 - 2 PAD
26-35 Smoked and smoked and smoked some more
35 = started trying to quit, over and over and over again, come on, really, I gave up alcohol and drugs but these stupid little sticks are gonna be with me forever. Apparently, never made it more than 11 days and most often didn't make it through an entire 24 hours

Your Story Is Not Stupid - Just Reality . . .
For me it was . . . SO - Much Easier . . . to Stop Doin' Drugs (Didn't do much anyway) and Drinking Alcohol . . . And although, never was an Alcoholic or Drug Addict (Just predisposed via heredity - almost everyone in family, especially siblings were/are Drug Addicts/Alcoholics) . . . I was a Very Heavy Drinker (10-20 Drinks of a Double Liquor or more a night and not get drunk). . . Even since becoming a Diabettic, it has been easier to change "my" diet . . . But Smoking for "Me" is the Worst Addiction and Habit I have ever had to deal with in any capacity . . . And I do work in "Behavior Modification" field too . . .
Oh - Trying to quit - 5 times . . .
1st time - "Patch" - Had more friends offer to buy "Me" analogs for the next 6 months - if I would start smoking again, than I had friends wanting "Me" to stop . . .
2nd & 3 Time - Patch & Welbutrine - Same effect ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ See above . . .
4th Time - "C" - almost "KILLED" ! ! ! enough said - if you get my drift . . .
5th Time - Still Workin' On It (like You) . . . And I am determined to do it eventually - become a "Non-Smoker" . . .

As hokey as it sounds, the first step to quitting the analogs is wanting to. Since you've tried other methods, you obviously want to quit.
The second step is believing you can.
As unpopular as this opinion may be, you are substituting an exceptionally bad (and smelly) habit for another habit, albeit a healthier one.
The important thing is that what you kept hooked on with cigs is the nicotine, and with vaping, you are still getting nicotine. You are merely changing delivery systems (and getting rid of dozens of carcinogenic chemicals).
As far as my brain is concerned, I'm still smoking. I'm just doing it in a different way.
Other than that, it's merely a matter of bringing out the Volt when I would normally pull out a cig and a lighter.

So true. To this day, I can easily say that I've been smoke-free, but I still have a hard time saying I've quit smoking, because in my head I still feel like I am. So ditto what you just said, just not so eloquently.

then to American spirit lite Green
and then American spirit yellow. I'm similar to Uncle as I've yet to be able to give them up completely, but didn't start vaping to quit, just to get nicotine w/out being outside in 100 degree weather, or in places where I wouldn't be able to smoke.
It's only recently that I think I'd like to give up the cigs as I'm starting to begrudge the money I spend on them. I used to smoke a pack to 2 a day, now about a half pack, but I'd rather spend my money on other things, so we'll see how I do on giving them up LOL.
Anyway, I have several favorite niquids now:
My new favs are Vermilion River Kentucky Premium blend and KPB with vanilla.

Started with Eve Light 120 menthols; flirted with some brand of extra long, extra-skinny menthol cigs that had a dark brown (instead of white) wrapper (and would not stay lit); switched to Virginia Slims Menthol Lights; then Virginia Slims (regular) Ultra Lights; then Benson & Hedges Deluxe Ultra Lights; then finally Camel Turkish Silvers.
My SI faves: RY4 and both Grapes
Other fave juices: Bounty Hunter; Maplewood; various apple/berry/other fruit + tobacco blends; naturally extracted Limoncello and Orange de Sangre (!!); Vanilla tobaccos; a few creamy coffee juices.
