Hello,

I am designing a line of exotic wood battery and charger holders to go along with my PV and accessory holders. I would like to gage the popularity of various batteries to help with deciding what would be the most popular and beneficial designs. If you use a battery that is not listed, please make a post defining the battery you use most.

After seeing the most used batteries, I'll make another poll to find the most popular chargers for those batteries. This info will have considerable weight when I sit down to design the units.

I'll give any participants 25% off a stock or custom order for taking the time to vote.

We can tackle the charger wars in the near future... :p

Thanks for your time-

Rick

I want to answer 18650; but in reality it is 18490/18500 because I am using mechanical with a kick. I would then want to answer this with the 18650 so you would create something I could kick should you be making a mechanical.

So I chose not to answer, but rather explain. If you want me to put an answer, which would you prefer, what I want you to build, or what I actually use?

ETA: On my ProVari I do use the 18650's. If you are building vv/vw, then 18650 for the battery life :)

Yea, I know... Unfortunately, the poll only allows one vote, and has a limit of 15 choices. That's the best I can do with BB code - if we could use HTML, the poll could be much richer... multiple votes, an "other" choice, etc...

For now, if your situation isn't represented, please make a post delineating your battery use, and I can compile the results manually.

Thanks for the responses!

Hey vsummer1- thanks for the like

I may not have been crystal clear...

I'm asking about batteries to design wood holder/display stands that will hold batteries and chargers.

I currently make exotic wood stands for PVs and accessories. There is a link to them in the first post. I would like to make several stock designs for wood stands to hold the most popular batteries and chargers. It's likely I'll make a space for Kicks on some designs. Of course, I'll continue to do customs as well.

Thanks!

I noticed that after I replied  I blame the pain killers I am on for my mind not clicking well.

I have seen your holders, and they are beautiful. I looked over all the different woods as well. Very nice. I wasn't sure if you were then going to make a mod to match a holder or something (which would be stunning, no doubt!) but I guess not. A beautiful wood mod with matching holder, that would be quite a pair.

Yup, been there lately! "I'm not as think as you buzzed I am". I have a pain condition that occasionally requires morphine...

I would be lousy at the "non" woodworking part of making a PV. Have you seen the custom wood PVs made by Woodboy? That's talent. I could always custom make a holder to match an existing wood mod, like the wood Reo's and others I've seen around here. There are some very talented people here.

Thanks for the comment!

Had to pick 18650 Unprotected since that's what I use mostly... but the pile of 18500's gets used just about as much. Maybe more, now that I think about it, with protected 18650's not far behind.

Thanks so much- that's exactly what I need; if you have multiple answers, this is the way to do it.

Appreciate it!
