New polls have found support for Prop 56 in California has declined, but has a very narrow lead
California income tax hike has wide lead, fewer back $2-a-pack tobacco tax increase

California ballot measures: Tobacco tax tight; voters favor parole reforms, poll finds

Yes on Prop 56 keeps blaming Big tobacco (as support for Prop 56 keeps declining)
Field Poll: Life-Saving Tobacco Tax Holds Narrow Lead but Big Tobacco Spends Tens of Millions to Deceive Voters, Defeat Prop 56 | Save Lives California

The last two CA ballot initiatives to increase tobacco taxes both failed by very close margins
(as large tobacco companies spent only as much as was necessary to defeat them).

Hopefully, some of the tobacco companies new ads opposing Prop 56 will expose how it
would impose massive taxes on vapor products, and put many vapor companies out of business (whose income and sales tax revenues paid to Sacremento probably exceed the vapor tax revenue generated by the new tax).
