ok so I am a newbie and have only been vapeing for a bit over 3 weeks. I ordered two sample kits and one of the EC flavors I chose was popcorn. I mentioned it to another vapeing (FB) friend how much I was enjoying it and she told me to throw it away...because it is dangerous. What is up with that and should I toss this juice?

If you mean EC Blends they have a pretty good rep. Some flavors that used oils as a base were bad for you but I doubt thats the case here.

Oh lordy, is she confusing this with the whole microwave popcorn is unsafe thing? If so, that's a double whammy. lol.
The whole thing with the popcorn stuff being dangerous is because of the diacetyl being bad for you thing. They used to use it in making microwave popcorn and people who worked in the factories would get sick from it. It might be used in popcorn flavoring but there's a ton of different flavors that contain it...as long as it doesn't have diacetyl in it you should be fine...unless there's something else harmful mixed in there, but that's what I think your friend is basing her popcorn concern off of.

You can always email EC blends and ask them then when she starts in again you can inform her exactly whats in the juice and why she is wrong so she can enjoy it to.

I LOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEE the buttered popcorn jelly belly's. I have ever since I was little they taste soo good heh. But dang jelly belly's are expensive for how long they last..for me anyways hah.
Diacetyl and Acetoin as long as neither are in it you should be ok. Diacetyl is known dangerous to vape and Acetoin CAN contain trace amounts of DIacetyl.
Any creamy, buttery or custardy types of flavors MIGHT have them SO I would ask the manufacturer.

Definitely ask the supplier if any of their ingredients contain either one of these. If not, they should be fine. If they won't tell you, I would find another supplier (just my opinion there...).
