I am completely inexperienced. Been at this now for 3 days now and have a question. I am getting a popping sound when I draw on my rig. Most times it is a single pop, but once in a while it is a couple pops per draw. Is this something I should be concerned about? I have not noticed a difference in the flavor or any other issues, but am curious if this in normal.

Thanks in advance for any and all advise/comments!

Here is what's going on. You can try this very technical experiment at home.

Take a frying pan, put it on the stove, set the element to high... wait a bit... Then trow a little water onto the pan. That's what the sound is. Boiling and evaporating liquid..

:toast:

Thanks for all the replies, I am no longer worried and now quite pleased.

Steam, so what you are saying is it is akin to de-glazing a pan! Perfect analogy for me!

You can't make a proper au jus without deglazing the pan.

after a while you get nervous if it isnt poppin lol.

(omg my batteries dead! my clearo is not working!! AHHHHHH)

See? Right there ^^^

Heck yes they matter*! ;)

* it can be surprising or annoying at times but is an indication that things are working just fine. Frequency is kind of random, and varies by day. You get used to it. It grows on you. ;) Oh, and coils make popping sounds sometimes too.
