So I'm vaping on a crown/cuboid combo right now, using the .25Ohm Ni coil @ 500 F, 65W

Whenever I'm in TC mode and fire, it hits protection immediately. I was having issues with the SS316 coil as well (.25), but swapped it out hoping it was just an issue with the coil.

VW still works fine - haven't tested Ti yet.

Anyone else running into this issue?

My Crown SS 0.25 issues were never solved, even on the DNA200 and RX200. I read somewhere the problem is with the wiring so it prevents the chip from reading the temp correctly.

It's just weird, because it was working perfectly fine for the first few weeks I had it. I might need to grab a few .5 coils and see if they work...

Hi fellow vaper. Just want to share the permanent fixed I applied on my cuboid w/c allows the Temp protection to fire "Only" when it should. I also had this problem where in the setup is properly configured but the "Protection" alert still kept on prompting..some times w/in 1-2 seconds..not allowing the atty to heat up and cook the juice.

Why is this happening? The coil's temperature shoots up right away causing the cotton to burn inside the coil head...this happens because the juice from the tank is not properly entering the coil head to wet the cotton. Why? The SS316 .5 ohm coil head has a very tight air flow to suck the juice up to the main coil.

Fixed: Need some tools to fix this. Remove the SS316 .50 ohm coil head from the chimney. You can see the mesh on top of the coil head right? you need a pin to remove this up from the tube (do this only if you are ready to take the risk :) ) After removing the mesh, you can see the SS coil loop inserted between the cotton. The hole in the middle needs to be freed from any cotton or anything that may cause the air from going right up...Use a paper clip or a PIN and insert it "in" to remove/push away any cotton that blocks the air way. Now replace the mesh and you are ready to vape. You will notice the improvement on your airflow, the juice enters the coil head smoothly as you vape, allowing the cotton to stay wet and avoid being burnt. The idea...the coil will not over heat w/c causes the cuboid to trigger the "Protection" feature. My conclusion...there's nothing wrong w/ the firmware or your tank or the main cuboid...It's the coil head fellow vapers!!! Now the temperature protection will only trigger depending on how HOT you set it up. Hope this works for you. :)

My Setup: Coil Head - SS316 .5 ohm Cuboid Mode: TEMP SS316 | 520°F | Power 20w - (It's up to you :)) Depending on my battery charge level Coil : Locked at .51Ω
