I was having a few problems with my VK batteries drawing extremely hard, overheating the carts, burnt taste, and led light flashing constantly like they weren't keeping a charge. My dear hubby decided to get involved at this point, and these are the things to look for:

1) Make sure the slot on the inside of the battery is lined up with the
vent holes on the outside. If not, GENTLY turn with a screwdriver
until they line up correctly.

2) See that there are no metal burrs on the inside of the vent hole. He
stuck a pin through the vent hole and then checked the inside to
make sure there were no metal burrs hanging on the inside. It
needs to be smooth and clean. (He also used the pin to
knock the burr off).

He then used canned air to blow the top of the battery off to make
sure all debris was gone. **May need to use reading glasses or
magnifying glass to see those burrs in the vent holes, especially if
your eyes are likes ours are...lol**

I hope this helps anyone who may be experiencing the same problems as I was. I ordered four kits and, out of the eight batteries, three had this burr problem with the air holes being blocked. All I can tell you is that after hubby's "surgery" to my VK's, they vape like there's no tomorrow...absolute night and day difference. Guess I'll have to keep him for another 33 years! *sigh*:p
