Possibly burning e liq unevenly on a dual coil set up? Is this normal or is there a way I could prevent it?

hey all, let me describe my setup first to give you an idea of what I'm working with.
Plume Veil clone
26 gauge kanthal
Japanese cotton (using cut pads if that matters)
.26 build
dual coil around a drill bit (forgot which one i used off hand but they are the same size) wrapped six times
Nemesis clone
VCT4
Primarily using 90VG/10PG juice now (vaping 9 South Cereal Killa which is delicious btw)

So, as the title describes, I feel like Im getting some dry hits. I feel like either one coil is burring hotter/faster if thats possible. I thought it might have been the wicking and maybe the cotton was uneven i.e more on one side than the other, but I recut the cotton and made it as even as possible. When I take the top cap off, it looks like one piece of cotton is dried out, and the other has a little juice on it left.

Now, this isn't too big of a deal since I do get about 3 or 4 good pulls out of it before I have to redrip, but I was wondering if this is a common probably (maybe a n00b problem since I will admit, I am a n00b to the rebuilding game :D) and if there is a way to prevent this from happening or fixing the problem I'd like to learn how.

So if anyone knows what the problem is or if there is a problem, please let me know and educate me :)

You might also want to make sure both coils are actually getting equal air flow if they are glowing evenly. If one coil gets more air then the other it will actually cause the side with more airflow to wick faster then the other. So you might want to make sure the alignment on the dual coils is equal to the plumes air notches. If one is off center you will have wicking issues as my friend found out on his clone.

How much are you juicing the coils? I tend to fill my base with liquid which allows both coils to get an equal amount of liquid. If you're only lightly dripping, you can soak one more than the other. Lastly, when you take a pull are the wicks positioned so they are both equally in the ejuice? Again, if you're vaping with the atomizer positioned so one wick is in the liquid and the other is out, that'll dry them out. Lastly, I personally leave space clear of wicking on the deck for the liquid to level itself and flow between the two wicks.
