Kinda missing the point of a "micro-coil"... Touching coils isn't doesn't make it micro... For a 1/8" wick & 28 awg wire, I'd recommend taking that down to 4 wraps.

Cobra, micro coil with 1/8th slotted FC-2000 ceramic wick, 28 gauge Nichrome, 12 wraps, 1.9 ohms.

Yeah I know, but what else do you call it? Anyway I'm using a protected mod, no way 4 wraps is gonna fly, 1.9 ohms is just high of what I was shooting for and it's working very well. Thanks for the tip though!

I've got a couple pics on post #118 in this thread that's sorts similar... It's a tight coil 5/6 wrap using 30 awg Kanthal. Back then all I was using was a Provari... If I recall correctly, It was a pretty good vape, considering it was the 2nd coil I'd up on the AGA.

BTW... How's it vape?

So I've never been happy with the airflow on my DID clone. I've gotten a few coils working that make me happy, but usually the vape comes out too hot and the airflow is too tight (even after drilling out the hole). It's especially a problem with tight coil wraps and sub ohm builds.

I figured out that it's because the wick and coil are just too damn close to the air hole, so I came up with a solution.

It's .... ugly and probably could have been done a little better, but boy is this thing vaping better.

(I know it's not quite on topic, but I thought I'd share. Besides, you can see the wick and coil!)

Hah! Now that is thinking outside the box! That's just about the only thing I didn't try with my DIDclone. Same problems as what you describe. (I made mine into a dripper).

Very nice Pdib! My favorite small dripper set up for bottom feeding, I was hoping that would work for ya.

The A6 should work great on the reo too with the same modification. It's about the same diameter, a little bit taller, and has the post holes. I just got it, but it may replace the IGO-S as my favorite since the air-hole sits a little higher and it's got a deeper drip well. I got it at EmpireMods, there's also the same one available but with two negative posts somewhere else.

lol, I asked my magic eight ball what to do.. it said "DO EET, DO EET NAO, then get to the choppa!"

I figure if I hate it (agreed, not likely) then it's about as safe a bet as the one I made when I bought a Provari.. it'll likely sell or trade for not much less than what I pay for it.. Paid 160 for the Provari and traded it+a little bit of cash for the EA, was a very fair trade for both parties ;)

Following your lead, pdib, has netted some insanely enjoyable vape experiences thus far... I have come to trust your judgement, to say the least.

Yet another mod I've been perilously tempted by, so far I've been able to resist the urge to buy a Paps or a Gus, somehow

Honestly... I'm loving this little bugger. (so much so that I just bought a 2nd)
1) It looks and feels fantastic.
2) It hits as well, with an efest 18350, as my P+18650 with any of my 18650 batteries... (for the record, I'd have called BS if I had read it without experiencing it)... The P+ is renowned for being a hard hitter so the batteries alone should make the previous statement impossible but it's true. I've moved the same atty back and forth between the two devices (both with freshly charged batteries) and the PAPS LUX is every bit as good as the P+.

Can't wait until my larger GM brass tubes get here so I can do a real head to head test using the same batteries. Who knows, maybe the little efest batteries are just better than I give them credit for...

yeah, it really is the best vape I've had, Stats, every time I hit it.

The atty, anymore, is just a roof over a wet wick, and a place to guide the air through.
