Post Your First and Last Vape

so since today is my 4 year vape-a-versary it got me ruminating on my first vape kit, and how the night before it arrived I had my last cigarette. i remember waking up the next morning, and making a bee line to my computer to check the tracking number in anticipation; and hoping it'd arrive before the withdrawals started kicking in.

well the withdrawals did start kicking in but the "out for delivery" tag helped to keep me in check. i was excited to enter this new world of vaping, and hoping that maybe, after trying everything else, this would be the thing to get me off the tobaccy for good. anyway the kit was finally delivered by mid day and i unboxed that thing faster than a kid on Christmas day.

so all this reflection got me wondering what everyone else's first vaping kit was and where they're at now. here's a photo of my first kit, the Apollo cig-a-like, sitting next to my new precious, the Tesla Nano 120 Steampunk.

though the cig-a-like is humble by comparison, and i only used it for a couple of months before diving even further into more advanced vape hardware like the eGo and eGO twists, i can't begrudge it because it was an important first step in helping me quit.

my first, in 2009, was a way overpriced tiny cig-like blue M401 e-vaporizer (they weren't called e-cigarettes till later) kit that came with a black cig-like charging looking pack/box. thought it was pretty neat looking and the menthol vg cartridges were awesome but, the crappy cartridges hassles, and it not being powerful enough, led me back to smoking at least a couple cigs a day after a week of use.

my first 'real' regulated device was a volcano VV lavatube, it with HHV's then Gandalf tobacco is what finally got me off them last two AM cigs in 2012.

current last device are two VTinbox squonking mods, with yftk strike 14mm rda's. Quite content now so they probably will be my last......well unless a more girly looking regulated squonker mod that allows under 10watts to be used comes along that is.

I'm at 4 years, as well - happy vaperversarry!

My first setup was an ego with a crappy tank (stardust, I think it was called?)
Now I'm on a sigelei 213+ (recent replacement for my rx that the 510 connection stripped out) and an aromamizer tank that's almost 2 years old - but I still love it!
