so i've had my 1100 mah ego batteries since october, and purchased one more with my last hardware order just as a back up to add to my rotation. i've used it max 3 times since receiving it at the beginning of the month. today i was outside on a vape break and my battery runs out. no problem. i switched to the 1100 mah v2 ego battery i had just started using.
the little thing glitched right out. when i tried to use it it told me the battery was low. and the lcd and switch light would pulse and go out. i initially thought the lcd display would be a liability to the unit, and this is now confirmed. my supplier only carries the lcd in 1100 mah, and the description assured me that use of low resistance cartos was cool (hence v2).
when i took my carto off, the lcd would display full battery, but would just pulse and fizz out. i have it charging on an ac adapter at the moment, and hopefully it just needed to be charged again. i still find this behavior untrustworthy though, cuz i charged it last week sometime. it should hold a charge that long, and yes it was in "off mode".
this depresses me. i feel like i need a back up in case one of my older 1100 mah batteries decides to die, but i'm tired of this disposable unit business.
anyways this was just a poutfest. thanks for attending.
today i had to pretty much build my cafe from the ground up (the new girls are improving, but they leave a few hrs of work behind), and was super busy all day because my mid shift help didn't exist. i was manning the entire ship since dawn until late afternoon. i'm nearing the end of a 2 hr break before i have to serve the patrons of maybe two consecutive shows. and i get to train new kids. hurray. the battery thing was not cool in addition to all of this.
