I just ordered ribbon wire so I can attempt the Staple Claptons myself. I've been running the fused 26/36 and 24/36 for a few weeks now and love them. For the price of the wire and a little practice, it's amazing what you can do. It took me about an hour to get my first Clapton coil made. Last night, I made a fused 26/36 all nichrome80 dual coil in under 10min from beginning to wicking.

get yourself a ball bearing fishing swivel and a vice or strong clamp and you're on your way to fused claptons in no time at all.

They sell far more advanced coils then fused claptons if I remember correctly, I also Highly doubt he "hand makes them" himself.
