I had about 1 of three SS wicks working in my ChiD. Of course that was the first one, then I had to mess with it I REALLY don't like dripping (sorry Atty ) or not being able to see the juice level, so I put the ChiD on the back burner until my clear tanks get here .
Back to my cotton wicked CE2s at the moment. Amazingly, tried a stock silica wick with the CE2 for a day and was coughing while vaping; switched over to cotton - no cough : psychosomatic :

Try using ss instead of cotton in whatever. Can't burn.........

Just oxidize the heck out of it. Like 8 times.....

, yep did all that. Finally picked up a pack of ciggy rolling papers to try - oxidize wick, put a piece of the paper where you wrap the coil, wrap coil, fire it up and burn away the paper. Just waiting for my clear tanks to show up for the ChiDs - CE2s are a bit small for SS mesh

This is the 500 SS mesh thread if you haven't seen it Atty - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/330407-500-ss-mesh.html. BJ has delved deep into SS mesh wicking and continues going deeper , he was looking for 600 mesh at one point. He has been vaping 0mg for a few years now, so he seems to be looking for the ultimate in vapor production.
