it's extra bad this morning and under 900 people on ECF (usually it only gets bad over 1300)

i didn't post there before because i didn't want to get caught up in all the "test this" with no directions how to do it. I did do the speed tests, but that isn't the issue (except for Tibs verizon connection).

i'm without lag this am! going through a proxy server just to get on is so slow i wouldn't recognize an ecf lag if it was staring me in the face, lol

I've been having a big probelm worth PB. I got 48 of 85 pics uploaded last night. (Not all at once). The last time I just went to bed and let it run. Thia morning I'm trying to upload another 10 pics. It's been running 45 minutes and only has 6 of them so far.

what is this about a proxy server tibs? i saw that you're using one, but missed the explanation....

Your pictures are large and high quality so they're probably huge files Fran. That can take some time to upload. If you have an editing program you can shrink the size a bit for faster uploading. (if you have a program that will do it, you could change them from ~15" at 72 dpi -or whatever size your camera takes them at- to 5" at 150 dpi)

Same here Ces, I wasn't liking how they were saying to do all these fixes either...I shouldn't have to Do Fixes for anything!!
Another idea I had was , I wonder if the lag is tied into PB for some odd reason, as they are having the same issues & ECF has alot of people who use it.

I dunno, i haven't had any problems with PB. My lags are in getting to long threads, and when posting or editing replies. BTW, it's getting better now.

I don't mind doing some trouble shooting- but anything beyond trying a different browser, screen shot, speed test and clearing cache/cookies needs to come with directions.
