Fran, Skyline Drive and Blueridge Pkwy are sooooooooo much prettier in the fall. I've been up there hiking several times. Also, Blueridge is much better than Skyline, IMO. Did you say you stayed in Waynesboro?

I believe that's where my husband and I stayed on our 1 year wedding anniversary. Have you ever been in the fall? The trees are all lit up in the beautiful fall colors. It is breathtaking.

What month is fall in VA Lost? I'm sure its different than here.

Me too. I could live up there. Fall around here is usually end of October, into the beginning of November or so. Up in the mountains, though, the trees can start to turn a bit earlier. It's very popular up there in October. That's peak season. If you want a cabin on Blueridge Pkway during that time, you have to book it a year ahead of time.
