I used the Olympic site and you can list all and also list by G/S/B or by total medals. lol.

i figured your table came from a european site, lol - all over the states the TOTAL medal count determines rankings. theoretically, a country with 70 bronze medals only could beat a country with 69 gold medals only - if they have no other medals - never made sense to me but there it is! ;)

Well, total doesn't really makes sense to me either. You could have a country win zero gold medals but take most silver and bronze and be ranked 1st, for example. So this way, it's ranked by G/S/B which is the "official" way, I guess. But they allow you to sort both ways. Thus, a country's listed ranking # is by G/S/B.

and i see ecf got you, too just now. it's been pitiful all day for me ...... sigh

When I was younger they used to assign a point system with gold worth 5, silver worth 3, and bronze worth 1. For some reason that has disappeared. :/

G'nite all! And I was incredibly happy for Great Britain this Olympics... I have never seen Brits forget themselves that way before! :lol: They seemed almost American at times when cheering for their athletes! ;)

night, al! and, yes, great britain had an amazing run this year and deserved ;)
