i noticed a lot of "prebuilt" coils for sale lately.

Now, as a newcomer to this world and havent really built any coils (at all - hopefully soon) ...

now. theres a whole world of gauges ia m still lacking. so i am sticking to a one standard, kanthal 28ga. and i will be using a ipv3Li with a Industractable atty.

Do these coils last long? i am mean surely they arent cotton.

are they worth it for a 20 piece for 6.99? Link here.

*as a newcomer, really, what gauge should i aim at? - or is 28 ok?*

thats funny you post that video. i cant find that kit in close area where i live in cali. i did find the kit in separate parts though. I didnt know what size to pick. 2, 2.5 or 3? which do i pick for 28gauge?
You are better off ordering it online than to have to make due with only one size. I'm sure you can find one on ebay.

I have some pre-made coils. I use them now and again.

20 for $6.99 is a too expensive. I would order hope to order 200 for $6.99

Anyway... if you want to use a Kuro Coiler, you probably won't need the 2mm.
I bought 2 x 2.5mm and 1 x 3.0mm.
(I bought 2 of the 2.5mm so I could give one to someone, who then started making 3mm coils around a screwdriver).

The trouble with buying pre-made coils is, you often don't know what the inner diameter of the coil is. Too small, and you'll struggle to put the wick in. My son bought some pre-made coils and the diameter was too small to use.

Buy a coil jig, or use a Stanley Precision Screwdriver set to wrap your coils for $8 at Walmart. Each screwdriver has a different diameter with the diameter marked on the handle. I like to use the 3.0 mm because the larger diameter is easier to fit my wicks into.
