wow the ac9 looks really nice on it! i wish i could have the satin finish on my second ELA but when i ordered it, it said only polish is available
i guess i have to send it back and get it refinished... which is kinda weird. i wish it could get 'refinished' before it's sent out... LOL
I think there may be a misunderstanding on the refinish policy, though we will refinish a worn unit to satin, we won't do it where a customer just gets in a new unit and then sends it back right away. The lifetime refinish warranty is to be used in good faith when your existing finish is getting worn out.
We removed the Satins about mid was thru the 2nd batch to simplify and speed up production, there was just too many options and it was slowing things down.

I'm a bit confused regarding finishes on Kayfuns matching ELA. Epsilon/Semi-polished I hear is the finish I want, but most stores don't know anything about this (it confused Vaperev). Is 'brushed' what I'm looking for? I thought not, but it sounds like a group of you fine folks bought from Vaperev and got the right finish. Any clarity around this would be wonderful.

I have both the old "gamma" brushed and the new semi-brushed (epsilon in some circles, but I haven't seen it marketed as epsilon) and I can barely tell them apart. The new brushed (left) is slightly "brushier" and lighter in color than the gamma (middle) (and beta/bead-blasted on the right).
No ELAs yet to demo the matches.
i meant it as a joke
and i figured that was the reason satin was removed since it's an extra, probably time consuming process. and besides, i wouldn't have ordered a second polished if i REALLY wanted a satin (and believe me i probably would have sent you an email by now asking if there was a way to change any of my pre-orders to satin lol)....
however, i might send you an email to change the accent rings on my second order, but i just don't know to what yet

I am happy to inform you guys that I decided not to do a reveiw lol. I feel I'm very honest and honesty brings hard opinions for better and worse and honestly who the hell am I to advise you what to buy. I took a few pics for my review so enjoy those instead.
