I've given up on rebuildables, but damn if the kayfun beta isn't sexy looking. Is there a difference between the 3.1 and the 3.1 ES I've seen mentioned elsewhere?

Also, how does it compare to the Odysseus?

The Ody doesn't come close when it comes to performance. The Ithaka, on the other hand, comes very close, but I would still have to give the nod to the kayfun. In terms of ease of setup, the kayfun also wins since you don't have to bother with NR wire. They both have intricate designs and perform well. Right now I prefer the Kayfun, but that might just be the newness factor talking. Aesthetically, I like the cleaner look of the Kayfun.

Better than cancelling another order....AMIRITE?!?! :D

I have added that beta to my cart now 3 times, then changed my mind! Man it would look sweet to have the brushed and the beta with mixed parts on the ELA. SWEEETTTTT! Once again, I would then have to order another ELA.

For those of you using the kayfun 3.1. What gauge kanthal are you guys running, size of wick and what does your ohms read? I get my Kayfun(s) today and wanna see what others are running, thanks in advance!

30gauge, 500 mesh, 2 strands of 1mm or 1.5 mm ekowool. I forget if my ekowool is 1mm or 1,.5. 3/4 wraps gives about 1.1 ohm.

uh, like totally??? I've sort of done the same but certainly couldn't live without my Infinity. Makes for a boring series of pictures though when you try to impress the natives. I haven't given totally up, my adventurous side lead me to the Spheroid which I think is fantastic. If I keep in mind what I value it's working out OK. Like the Kayfun - looks incredible and probably vapes that way too - but if I'm honest with myself: "Dude, are you equipped to devote an ongoing part of your life to it?" makes it easy to take a pass. I had an Ithaka for about a week and while it was an amazing thing it was apparent to me that good old Ody/Penelope are the requirements of that design, no more, no less.

I love my Odysseus's. I got one and it was so amazing for my needs I had to have another. Its easy to set up and for my requirements its perfect. I dont vape ultra low resistance or do the dual coils etc. I know that it can be set up for high performance vaping, but I am boring I guess. I set up my resistance at about 2.4 with the KICK set at 8 watts with a simple single coil.

Love them. Im going to send one at a time to be refinished to match the ELAs.

Yeah, I sold off all my rebuildables and I don't regret it at all. The Kayfun has looked appealing for awhile. I like the features, and I've been seeing nothing but rave reviews on it for awhile. I always preferred silica over Genesis for most e-liquids anyway. It helps that I think the satin version looks fantastic.

I decided that if they were still in stock when I got home from work, I would order one. I figure it's the vape gods way of letting me know it's a worthwhile purchase. It was still in stock, so I just placed my order. Worst case scenario, if I still decide I don't want to mess with rebuildables, I figure I can always sell it and make my money back.

Kind of peeved I had to find another site to order bottles and wick/wire from, but oh well! Hopefully my ELA gets here soon so I can put it on it. Until then, if I like it, I think it will have a home on my Satin shockwave.

And yeah, it is pretty boring taking pictures of a 510 atomizer :p

I like my Kayfun with 3 x 2mm Ekowool and about 4 wraps of 32 AWG Nichrome (about the same as 31AWG Kanthal). The last one came out at 1.7ohms which is about the level I find it works best. I think once you find the coil that is best for you and get the juice control (air intake) right it is hard to beat and very simple to re-wick. It is big and heavy though, which is why I'm looking forward to trying in with the ELA:)

Got myself a Kayfun beta for my second round satin ELA. All the discussion convinced me to get one after I had convinced myself my terminators were good enough.

Cannot wrap a coil for a terminator to save my life. Always tastes like metal and burning. I've cleaned the thing 3 times, boiled it, soaked in PGA...

Kayfun, however, was a snap.

You know I love the Kayfun but still my favorite atty at the moment is the A.R.T Julia. Doubtful it will look very good on the ELA. That being said for silica atty Julia, Kayfun, and Term-C. I thought about getting a Taifun or a Ithika but I'm pretty damn happy with what I got.

That theory of thinking usually saves me! I said that while in the shower, took my time even checking back on the site. Tonight that thinking did not save me! Ha HA

EDIT::: Just placed a order for the polished ELA! Order#161**!!

Edit#2:: Told you I can't order another kayfun without ordering another ELA, couldn't do it, just couldn't!

Freckle that's a great story. Leave it to the universe to make our decisions.

I had a similar experience. I've got a second satin ELA on order and was looking at my stash and wasn't inspired by any of it as a potential mate for the ELA. Got up early Saturday to look at ordering a satin Kayfun and just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. Oh well I thought I could just cancel the second ELA especially after buying 2 simplicity's. I saw the post today for the Kayfuns and now my Satin ELA has a mail order mate. Such willpower I have.
