pmar, if you feel compelled to adjust the throw, you'd have to add washers under the pin behind the button and change out o-rings. I don't suggest doing this though as you might make it fire too easily or all the time.

1. Unscrew the button from the bottom
2. Remove the spring. You should see the button clearly
3. Try removing the button by hand, if not, then use a screw driver
4. Add or remove washers as needed to adjust the throw.

I think a thinner oring in the bottom would shorten the throw a bit without having to add washers. I'm no expert on oring sizes, and I don't know what size David includes with the ELA, but I've seen some pretty thin orings in other contexts.
Theres really no adjusting the throw on the ELA. It's a pretty short throw as is. You could add a washer to the screw in switch post, but it probably won't lock anymore and will fire when standing up.
Really how short do you want it anyway....the ELA is setup perfectly from the factory;-)

I don't have mine yet but assuming the button is like the P+, the one thing I would change is to either ovalize the button or work an inner channel into it so it doesn't rotate. It's s small thing, but I find it annoying to have to look at the button to make sure its pointed the right way to engage the lock. At least that's how it was on my P+. All that aside, feature wise, it seems pretty complete other say, having Otto Carter engrave one like an English O/U shotgun panels.
I would rather have Angelo Bee or his daughter engrave my ELA. Maybe a few 24k gold inlays to go with it . I don't plan on ever parting with either one of my ELA's so that may be my next move.

I've been stalking my inbox so hard that I'm either going to (a) break the F5 key on my keyboard from hyper-refreshing, or (b) bring all the Gmail servers down trying to will my shipping notice to appear.
All of a sudden I feel like I'm not ready enough. Do I have enough Kanthal? 25ft may not be enough. No no no, a giant box of cotton is only a quarter of what I need. 6 batteries?!? How am I supposed to properly test my ELA with ONLY 6 batteries?! Why am I hyperventilating?!?

I've remained pretty dormant on this thread, but my ELA is out for delivery today.
It all started with a lonely WTB classies post, and weeks later-BAM. Although I didn't have to wait as long as most of you, I'm sure the anticipation is the same, sorta
I'm not ready! I don't have enough of anything! Batteries, I kept waiting for Super-T stock. Oh well!
