There's a new Sheriff in town, practicing my Quick Draw McGraw move with a flashlight until the ELA arrives :)

Are you talking about the accent ring?

Either way really, I can put the gap above or below the accent ring, or I can gap it between the slim top cap and the atty.

The gap may be unavoidable, but something to check - check that the top ring (not the cap, but the ring encircling the slotted portion around the 510 connection) is screwed down securely. Perhaps Wongster would know if there may have been an o-ring underneath from the adjustable draw cap?
At any rate batteries vary in length. I have some AW IMRs that create a gap and others that don't. I suppose you could try and find a thinner bottom battery o-ring but I'd be wary of compromising the safety against short-circuiting.

I checked that; everything seems tight to me. It's not a huge deal, but was curious if I was doing something wrong.

I'm currently running a EH IMR 14500;1100 mah battery. Most of my batts are AW IMR, but I have a couple that are different.

I will have to look into it. Nonetheless, it's an outstanding piece.

Just wanted to make sure you were talking about the accent ring, and not between the kayfun and the ELA.

Some batteries are longer than others - with an AW 18490 I have a VERY tiny gap that the accent ring does not cover. With an AW 18350 and a Kick2 the gap is slightly larger. Theres no way to make the accent ring telescope, so different batteries will have different gaps.

Yea I can close the gap between the KFL and ELA. Just curious about the gap above or below the accent ring. It's all good, I'm due to grab some more batteries, so I will try a different set.

I had the same gap regardless of what battery I used. I just put up with it. Only thing I can think of is a slightly smaller Oring under the accent ring?

Regarding the gap....

If you have an atty with an exceptionally long 510 connection, as you adjust the center pin out away from it, that also creates more room needed inside the tube along with the battery.

I had this happen with my Stratus 22, went from no gap at all in 18500 mode with accent ring, to a gap similar to the one you have.

I want a SQuape just don't have the cash right now :( Curious how you set it up too. I've only heard of people doing stainless builds on em so far.
I have an AC9 which I enjoy which should work well on the ELA. I also have the SQuape which I've been running all day and it's definately going on there. Assuming the Taifun GS I have on order vape decently, that will go one there as well.

Oh I will tolerate it for sure. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was/wasn't adjusting. Thanks for the reply!

I viewed the SQuape when it dropped recently on VR, but didn't pull the trigger. For the ELA, I'm looking for a wider atty. Thing is, I'm hooked on the Kayfuns.

#16534 here. Was told middle of October as estimate after I got one of the cancellation slots back in July. Reminds me of the Heinz ketchup commercial with Carly Simon's, Anticipation song.

Hopefully the 1100 orders to go before they get to mine is not indicative of the actual wait time of the 80 or so a week being processed in the updates or else I am looking at mid December!

There are only ~500 ELA's produced. Those order numbers also include everything else Super T sells in between ELA orders.

My buddy got his Squape yesterday, and his initial impressions are good. He actually likes it better than the KF. He said that the rebuild is easier, and has a bit more flavor than his KFs. It's not that I don't believe him, but I'll let him play with it for a few days because the newness factor might be clouding his judgment at the moment. I would have pulled the trigger on one, but I have a Taifun out for delivery this week. OD is just under 23mm though so IMO it looks nicer on the ELA than the KF. Also, the beveled top cap complements the ELA bottom cap angles nicely. The Squape is a huge sucker tho!

I've heard that before; "likes it better than the KF, rebuild is easier, and has a bit more flavor than KFs".

That's exactly how I've been feeling. I got the SQuape yesterday and have been responding in the SQuape thread while trying not to have that "New Vape Shine" so I understand your caution with your friend. Having both, the SQuape is easier to build. Vape is similar, the SQuape is a little wetter vape, both have flavor. The SQuape is more solidly built but the KFL has more configurations. It's like trying to decide between a Lamborghini and a Ferrari. Both are awesome. And both will look killer on an ELA.

Agreed. I told my buddy that it looks like submarine or airplane windows. It doesn't look bad at all, it's just not in line with my taste.

I like the Squape but I don't like the way the juice windows look on it..

You can run solid sections from my understanding. At least that's what is lead on when you view on VapeRev.
