Just curious... Why would you not want a meter?

Because why spend the money? I know it sounds like a Laissez-faire attitude but this isn't nuclear science. This hot button is the first time I've had an issue in a year. I build a coil and it works or doesn't. So I fix it or rebuild. I don't need to know the exact ohms I am vaping at. 1, 1.2, 1.4 it's all good for me.

Just figure, a meter may catch a short, prior to mounting and melting stuff.

Tonight I decided to take my ELAs and take a look. I noticed a lower performance and looked at the brass compression bands. I saw that they were not the shiny gold tone and were looking more like copper. I took them out and gave them a going over with a cape cod cloth and black came off. NOw they are gold and shiny and ELAs are performing much better. I like the brass because they feel much stronger but they will oxidize and need more upkeep. Is there a reason they cant be made of stainless steel?

Yeah..... thats what I figured. Im liking the brass, but I guess I have to keep them clean. I did not mention before, but when I got my ELAs back David included a brass bottom contact. Im curious to try it out but I dont want to take it apart. Things are good and Im scared to fiddle too much. I havent even given them a bath since I got them back. I used to do it weekly. I just wipe them down with 98% alcohol daily to get any hand grime off the tubes and top caps because of my steamy Odys and the condensation that builds up because of them having a 510 air intake.

I have never cleaned my original 10 month old aluminum band and it works fine.. IMO aluminum is the best choice for the compression band. Aluminum will be a better conductor then brass plus its not as brittle. STOP that OCD band cleaning

David was out of aluminum at the time. That is why he made a batch of brass. Stop cleaning! Just vape! :)

Its not my desire to waste good vape time cleaning, but what to do when performance goes way down? Be miserable?

I look to see what is the cause, clean then performance gets back to what it should.

You need to get your compression bands Rhodium plated...............

Shipping Update:

All orders placed thru Friday 4/18 have shipped including all preorders! Yes, you read that right! There are no pending orders here at Super-T!!! If your tracking hasn't updated, it should by Monday.

After working three 80 hour work weeks in a row, I'm going to take some time off this coming week and then we'll be back at it the following week. Willy will still be here next week though doing his machining magic! Once all the dust settled, we inventoried and we do have a few Simplicities and Stratas left and another small batch of 26650 Simplicities. Those won't ship for a week though until we get back, so if you want them, they should be on the site for you.

If you are a regular on here, please feel free to help any fellow ECF members who have questions or concerns about their products as a ton will be receiving them this coming week.

Thank you everyone for all your patience this past year. I know it hasn't been easy but hopefully we can now all sit back and enjoy our mods!

The Super-T Team
