I need to find a pizza partner. I miss pizza. Hubby and I used to eat a lot of pizza..... :)

Is the pizza in Florida any good? Generally, Chicago and New York are awesome. Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan are hit or miss. Based on California Pizza Kitchen, Californian's don't know what pizza is. Vegan pizza isn't pizza. Real pizza has Mozzarella cheese on it, not Kindlikerella cheese substitue made from bean innerd squirtin's.

I don't really know. I don't have a pizza partner. I like pizza for two.

Pizza at home was good. I knew all the pizza shop owners. They always made it to our specs.

Most of the pizza around here tries to act like its from New York but fails. However there is a local place called Ligueries fired up has good pie. My fave though is in Cincinnati, Larosas.

Based on 40 years in the state, and my many travels from top to bottom and everywhere in between, California is so clueless on pizzas a slice of sour dough bread topped with ragu spaghetti sauce and cheddar cheese is considered a 5 star pizza. No state in the union makes a pizza that SUCKS as much.

That's funny...... I lived in the bay Area for 37 years. There has to be some decent Pizza somewhere in California......?
We have an awesome place here in Phoenix Az.Pizzeria Bianco .... Has won best pizza in the USA according to Gourmet magazine several times.. Chris Bianco is a good friend of Andrew Zimmern, Oprah Winfrey favorite pizza spot.....

We're doing good. Where did you disappear to?

Hangin' out, causing trouble on the ClubCobra forum, riding my beamer K1200 and vapin' away on my ELA.
Still working great, no issues, haven't dropped it yet, playing around with different coils. Next one will be a two 3-coil wrap in parallel with ribbon wire. It's all good!

Wish I could say it ain't so joe but to this day not a one worth going back to. Met my wife in Boston who is a pizza nut. Damn fine pizza there, Reginas in the north end set the standard back then. They now have a couple of them in the area and Bertucci's is a close 2nd imo (also east coast). Fast forward to a life in CA, wifee still looking for a pizzeria that can compete, better chance of finding the holy grail but she still tries. Comes home with a pizza sometimes, it's a sight to behold watching a 105 lb weakling kick the living chit out of a pizza box like she can.

Just an update on my ELAs. Polished ELA still going great since switching out the funky OEM bottom contact. Apparently after my 1 hour firing incident the Rhodium got affected and got bumpy. Even after sending it back twice it was having misfires. It was not till I took those photos with the macro lens was the damage visible. I put the brass bottom contact on it and all misfires are gone. Only drawback is that every couple days I do have to clean the contacts to rid it of the tarnish. Not a problem as at least now it makes a difference.

I cant wait till replacement rhodium contacts are available as my new satin has been filed on the edges and gets tarnished. I clean them once a week, again not a problem as at least the cleaning makes a difference.

Im also liking the brass compression band. Its probably my hesitance in not wanting to make changes because Im not getting slippage like when I was using the aluminum, but again most likely that my bottom contact is working so much better that Im not having to press down on the button so hard that it actually loosens my locking ring.

I do want a new top contact for my polished ELA as its scratched ( my own doing ) and though its not causing any problems, its just my own vanity in wanting it to look perfect. IF in the future we want a new top contact, obviously its going to have to be sent in as I cant see how we ourselves can press it in properly.

If we cant get rhodium contacts ( bottom) can we get brass ones? I really like how smooth it is compared to the ones I have now.

Like I posted before, I want to have at least one of each spare part for my ELAs I can get ( OEM springs, orings, contacts etc) , Im planning on having these for many years to come......

At what point does an ELA cease to be an ELA?

I can see your point, the ELA is near perfect as is. I can see why and actually embrace the extras. I dont understand modders coming out with V2, V3, V4 , etc sometimes within months. Its very frustrating for some as that means they have to buy another whole device just to have the added option or choice. For some its not a problem, just adds to the collection. For some it means having to sell the previous model for the new, which depreciates previous model .

I think its the best thing in the world when you have an item that is "modular" meaning that you can basically have endless upgrades - customization s, the fun and freedom to use a slant top for a particular atty, etc.

There are many companies that make a lot of money on these 3rd party accessories. I could never understand the original modder not making very wanted items themselves, maybe not as a constant item , but at least small runs. We love our ELAs , but some like to have little accessory choices to have it be unique to "them"

I am happy that Super T has been so accommodating to our " little wishes " . When we buy 3rd party parts, we take the chance that the finish might not match as well as the quality. If it does have compatibility issues, at least we can send it back for a little "tweak" and that lifetime warranty is part of it. :)

Only third party part is satburn button and slant cap. As anavid fan states, luv the fact ela is modular and I can dress her up as I want.

I see no problems with 3 party parts, if people want/ need it and someone is willing to make them, Happiness all around. If I had the resources and machinery, I would specialize in producing high quality 3rd party parts for the popular devices. I would stalk the forums "listening" to those wishes and make them.

Where can I find for the ELA a hybrid adapter, slant caps for 16 and 22mm and the knurling free tubes for 350 and 500 mode?

Right here, we'll be making some soon. Should have the slant caps (22mm) by end of the week. The tubes next week is the goal on those. We should have some more flat bottom caps too later next week.

I'm also going to start a list on Solid tubes (both in 18350 and 18500) to start with. Let me know what you'd like so we can get an estimate on how many to produce.

I would like 1 each in the 18500 / satin and polished, and of course if I could Id love to have one each of the 18650.

(Now I have to look at my gear and see what I can sell to fund this madness :) )
