Ok, so now that the dna 30D chip is on the market, now; more than ever, I want a DNA30 module for ELA!!!

David,

Zen just released an add on "ZNA" module that'll fit on his tubes. I really want YOUR iteration of this board for the Precise ELA. I feel if you do this, I'll never ever EVER have the need to buy another device again, save for more add-ons for my ELA's! Oh, and I'll buy 3 DNA30 modules instantly!

Nach, just curious why you'd want this? What would be the benefit over a standard ELA or a kicked one?

Well, the DNA30D board will allow you to vape down to 0.5 ohms with all the added safety features. That and I push 35W on a mechanical as it is.

EDIT: Also, a Kick 2 only goes up to 15W. Pretty useless for me today, even though it is still a nice drop in module!

Just curious, since it's VW, why would you want to use a .5 ohm coil? It would be up to 30w either way. Why not just build a 1 ohm coil and crank it up to 30?

I'm not much of a sub ohm guy, so I'm sure there's probably something I'm missing.

There isn't much benefit of a dna 30 or 20 for the 10-15 watt single coil user at all.
The more watts = more Kanthal . The 30 will allow more power pushed to dual coils and micros, The DNA 40 will benefit triple micros, The DNA 50 will allow quads with no effort.
Many mechs will allow around 50 watts. The DNA mod is allowing VV mods to start benefiting by the allowing more watts.

I see much testosterone flowing and the new to vaping crowd pushing their limits.
There will be some - guarantee it, that will be running .5 or less sub ohm on 30w - I see that as potential meltdown and ridiculous unless one is aware, knows what the dangers are and practices safe vaping with a skill set to manage big watts. There are seasoned and informed vapers that will also appreciate the benefits.

I see battery makers loving this.

Once upon a time, I was 'that girl' who tweaked everything. Being an excessive personality, I pushed the limits, at all levels, on everything.

At some point, I decided to simplify my life. I drive an H1 Hummer. She doesn't drive fast. She has no particular 'frills'. But, she always gets me from point a to point b. Pretty much, she will drive through, or over anything in my way. Tough, old and weathered, like me, she gets the job done.

So, here I am vaping. I have an ELA. Kinda, in my mind, along the same lines as my Hummer. I put a 3.7 volt battery in her, an atty on top with a .6 ohm coil, some cotton, and some juice. I am getting sufficient clouds, taste, throat hit, nic delivery, etc.. I'm a happy camper.

I will confess ignorance here. I am not educated on Kicks/Crowns/DNA mods/Etc.. If I were to decide to become 'that girl' again, what does all of that get me? If there is sufficient reason to 'go there', I just may. :)

ELA arrived on Friday :D I LOVE it--worth the wait. Only quibble: holy h3ll is it a PITA to clean if your atty springs a leak, lol

It's not so tough. I bough a cheap strainer at the dollar store. Take it apart, put it in the strainer and give it a warm water bath and then rinse it off and dry it.

Hmmm, I thought that steam coming from the east was just the US Steel plant in Gary at full power. Apparently it's just been you vaping. We'll have to meet at a vape meet one of these days so I can see your set up. If you are pushing 30 watts, how long does an 18650 battery run for you?

So is it worse to drain the battery while use or to occasionally leave a battery on the charger for a few hours? Which one of these senarios shortens a batterys life? I use a Nitecore intellicharger and I "think" that it has an over drain protection feature on it.

Occasionally I fall asleep when charging, I try my best not to leave batteries un attended. IF I leave the room for what I think might keep me away for more than a few mins I just disconnect the charger. Sometimes because of bad insomnia I fall asleep for unplanned time watching TV.

I vape till my vapor production gets low. Usually at around 1.0 ohms. Is it really necessary to need an in-line voltage meter to keep our batteries from going lower than ? voltage?
