Preemptive measures for the Ego-t Atty ???

Okay, I'm pretty much a noob. Hell, I'm not totally off of analogs yet (but pretty close).

There is a lot of talk about how to keep these ego-t attys clean, because, I'm mean, who wants to pay $14 a pop for a month's use (or less), right?

Now, I might sounds really stupid...but help me out here. Wouldn't good policy be that after every tank you just blow the sucker out, and then start puffing again? It seems to me that without letting the gunk build up in the first place, the need for all these cleaning methods would go way down, yes?

But what do I know? Maybe I'm just scared of go through all this trouble and falling off the bandwagon. Or, perhaps, I just don't want to spend us much mone as I did on analog.

What say you?

The coil on the atty will get gunked up eventually no matter how much you blow it out. Prolong it... maybe.

I say run it as much as you can and do what you want as far as a cleaning, blow it out, run it under hot water, use PGA whatever, a pack of smokes is $7 bucks @ 2 days = $14 so everyday you get passed 2 days your ahead of the game by $7 a day x 28days = $196 if you smoked 2 packs a day @ $14 a day x 28 = $392 @ $14 each one a month would be fine with me!!!! I would fall under the 2 pack a day guy spending $392 a month minus $14 for an Atty a month I would be saving approximately $378 per month,,, yipppeeeee I just got a raise

My first tank atty only lasted about 2 weeks. It still works, just not at the level. I cleaned it after all else failed but it seems to be the same. I just got a second one, had it for a week. I hope this one works out a bit longer.

Haven't gotten one yet, but in another thread, somebody made what seems like a pretty good idea for those who vape the darker, atty-clogging juices: periodically clear things out by vaping a small amount of unflavored juice (just PG/VG and nicotine).
