Since I am new to all of this.... do you prefer the blanks and filling them with V4L juices or ordering the prefilled and refilling with the same flavor? Does anyone find that the blanks seem to hold up better (last longer) than the prefilled ones?

They work about the same, but the blanks are usually cheaper, and you don't have to use them first before putting in the flavor you want. I like spending @$2 per 5 pack(dse901 flat tips), generally that means unfilled. It's really about do you like the flavor of the filled carts vs filling your self.
I prefer buying the prefilled carts and refilling them if they are available so that they are nicely labled for me. I like the performance of the blanks just as much and use them for when I am mixing or doctoring flavors or when the prefilled wasn't available for that flavor.
I use blanks and fill them with v4l juice. I have found too many inconsistencies with the prefilled cartos.
Well, RR to answer your question properly I have to ask you this:
1) Do you like hot or cool vapor?
2) Do you like better taste and more vapor production?
if you answered one with hot, most pre-filled cartos are premium cartos and they tend to burn lips if you use them on a mod or a PT.
If you answered one with cool, then the cool carts are the way to go for you. To quote Steve, "Premium and CoolCarts are exactly the same!" Quote can be found in premium carts VS CoolCarts.
If you answered two saying you like more taste and vapor, then I would order either premium or coolcarts and not buy prefilled, I am not sure what flavors come in reg. carts or premium carts.
What I would do if I were you, is buy a pack of premium and Cool and see what one you like more. I can say from experience that premium is not for me. But most other people here love them compared to Cool Carts. I have used both, can not tell the difference, other then the heat factor.

I have used Premiums, CoolCarts & the prefilled. I am still trying to figure out what works best for me.
Sometimes getting others thoughts and opinions helps in making more informed decisions. I understand that everyone is different and each will have their reasons for choosing what they choose.

I really don't have a preference between prefills and blanks. I like to buy prefills of a flavour when they are available for the flavour I want to have the nice label. However, there are some flavours I like that come only in coolcarts prefilled. These flavours I bought premium blanks for. I really don't notice a performance or lifetime difference between prefills or blanks.
