I have been dripping onto a standard 510 atomizer. And I occasionally clean it as well. I have no problem getting a tank atomizer going after cleaning. No problem getting a cartomizer going using the condom trick.

There has to be a good trick to get a standard 510 atomizer going again after it has been cleaned. This morning I tried putting about 8 drops into it and letting it set a while.

Then put it on my battery took a couple strong puffs, no vapor
Put a couple more drops on, gurgle gurgle, no vapor
Sucked a little harder and got liquid in my mouth
Spit, yuck, wipe tongue with towel, lick cat, lick old tennis shoe, swear

Normally I feel pretty smart about myself but not today, whats the trick?

And of course, thanks in advance

8 drops is too many for a 510. The biggest clue is the gurgling: it means it's flooded.

What I do if my 510 atomiser is as clean and dry as I can get it is put in 4 drops and give it a little time to soak in, then I put in two drops and give it a minute and then, usually it's good to go. vape off the two drops worth then keep topping it off with two drops when it's dry.

Works for me, but others use different drops per time.

Just a rule of thumb after a complete clean is to put less in all at once and give it a few minutes to soak in. If it's gurgling, blow it out and start again with 4 drops followed by 2.

Good luck!

Here's what I do , and it seems to work for me . For cleaning , I place my atty's and carto's in a small bowl with some vodka . I let them soak for several hours , then take them out and blow out the excess vodka. On the atty's (I like to drip) I take some wicking material , about an inch long , and stuff it down into the atty around the coil . This allows me to drip 6 or 8 drops without flooding it . (wicking holds the juice) now I can vape for 10 to 15 strong hits , before I add some more juice . Been working for me .

I use this method to clean my atomizers and it has worked well. Note that every atomizer type is different and hold different amount of liquid. For a 510 I put in 3-4 drops of liquid, then wait about 30 seconds. Then I put in 2-3 more drops, put drip tip on and vape, then after the flavor goes away add 2-3 drops. If I am using a dual coil attomizer I have to put in 6-10 drops initially then after 30 seconds put in 3-4 more drops and then vape. If I am using a 306 I put drops in more frequently and let the soaking period go on longer. My point is, time and number will vary according to the type of atomizer and sometimes the manufacturer. If it feels sluggish or gurgles then blow it out and start all over. It takes some patience to get used to dripping. Also, you might want to look at a drip shield.
