They based the way they had him play guitar off of a female guitarist named kaki king. Look her up, she is amazing, and entirely self taught

I had to look (I'm a guitarist and enjoy being humbled),

"Kaki King, the first female on Rolling Stone's "guitar god" list, rocks out to a full live set at TED2008, including her breakout single, "Playing with Pink Noise." Jaw-dropping virtuosity meets a guitar technique that truly stands out."

Kaki King at TED2008
In a Word WOW!! She is wicked awesome! Thanks!!

I know, right?
Self taught, able to build complex chord structures by ear...completely unorthodox playing style. She obviously had music in her blood
My 10 yr son watched her play. He is teaching himself how to play guitar. We got him an acoustic and an electric. He plays keyboard already. With his new set of harmonicas he now has 5 lol
Music isn't taught in a lot of schools, and beat machines have no soul. The video of that girl playing brought a tear to my eye, as does my kid when he figures out a new riff :)

I had a woman approach me when I was playing a public venue as a teen. She asked if I wanted to tech guitar and I paused for a moment, thinking about the fact that, at that time, I knew (!) that music would be my life. Teaching music is following that path, right? So I said OK and agreed to meet her at her music store in Salem (the capitol city of Oregon). She showed me the curriculum and the the music, at which point I admitted I couldn't read music.

I should mention that I'd been teaching moderately advanced guitar players how to play lead guitar for a couple of years but she was not impressed.

This woman said , "Oh, so you taught yourself." "Yes," I confessed, and have continued to be an autodidact, to which she responded, "You are a product of unskilled labor."

I have proudly said so ever since. I am, indeed, a product of unskilled labor. Yeah, baby, I taught myself.

Should have asked her "if I'm a product of unskilled labor, why did you ask me to teach for you just from hearing me play?"

@Utsuru - I have a mech mod now, and I run a Protank 2 on it. I don't have "killer" batteries, but for higher-ohmmed, lower-wattage vaping, I have no fear. (Healthy respect, but no fear.) You don't have to put an RDA/RTA on a mech if you don't want. Not sure I saw what you currently have, but pretty much any 510-threaded topper can work.

I have a Nitecore Intellicharger - I'm seeing them for about $12-13 on ebay. Don't buy batteries from Amazon or ebay. Lightningvapes has Sony VTC4s for about $10. They also have the Samsung 25R for $8. I believe both of those are good ones (and I believe I read somewhere that LightningVapes sells authentic VTC4s)

ETA: Amazon.com: nitecore intellicharger i2
Thanks for the tip! Just ordered a charger from there!

So do they pm us with an updated list to choose from or how does that work?

Yes--we got a PM with an updated list and were asked to number our preferences from 1-10 (or 1-20 :D). I don't know what happens next. ;)
