Welcome to ECF. Is it a cartomizer or a clearomizer?
Does it have long wicks on the inside of the tank? If so, and you filled it, that shouldn't be the problem unless the little connector thing is faulty.
If it's a cartomizer, they do require priming correctly but you would know if it's not right as most likely you'd get a burnt taste.

Sounds like the pin in the eGo isn't making contact with the pin in the carto/clearo. And it can be lifted a bit by using a nail file on slightly pry it up a bit.

But if you bought it from a B&M, I'd take it back and ask for a exchange, then while you're there, set up the whole thing and make sure it's working before leaving.

I just bought the EGO-CE4. I charged the battery (overnight), put some nicotine liquid from iBreathe into the cartomiser and - nothing. When I hold the button down it turns blue, but I just don't get any smoke.

Is it a dud battery, or am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

I just received an ego ce4 yesterday and it worked for about 15 minutes and then stopped vaping completely. The battery was fine so I knew the clearomizer was messed up. I removed the plastic cap from the top of the wick with needle nose pliers and used the end of a cut off coat hanger to push the wick/coil down gently and replaced the cap. It works great now. Yours might be totally kaput though.
