So I just got in my Grand SL Wrinkle Finish black a couple of days ago and it took a bit of fiddling to get the door to slide. Not a problem and to be expected with the finish.

But I also have a Grand Kawasaki Green with an SL tumbled aluminum door and while the wrinkle black door will go on the green, the bare aluminum door jams up tight trying to get it on the black SL, and I mean tight as in I thought I was going to bend the door trying to get it back off after getting it a third of the way on. That is the reverse of what I would expect to happen, if I expected it to happen at all.

Any similar experiences or suggestions?

After cleaning the tracks and a little wear I can slide any of my 6 doors onto any of the 3 grands. combo of bare, wrinkle and anodized grands and bare, wrinkle, anodized and brass doors.

Yep, my black wrinkle grand door at first was a tight, but not too tight, fit when I first got it. If you slid the door up it wouldn't drop on its own. Now it slides like a hot knife through butter. The tracks will clear themselves with time, and not a lot of it, if you don't want to scrape the tracks. They'll just naturally break in I'm sure.
