Problem I'm having with bigger mouth piece

Hello I have a new mod I went from one of those normal e cigs with just a battery and tank with a cig style mouth piece to a mod with a round big hole of a mouth piece. Problem Im having is when Im going for a vape it goes down my throat before I even pull the mod away from my mouth. I'm used to going for a vape then when i pull the e cig from my mouth, the vapor is in my mouth then I inhale. Another problem is sometime I get saliva that goes to my lips and into the mouth piece. Idk the bigger mouth piece's just feel more like Im smoking a .... rather than a cigarette.

What tank are you using? A lot of them allow you to change the drip tip to whatever one you want.

try closing down the airflow some/most of the way. I vape all of mine wide open for a direct lung hit but most of them can/could be restricted enough with the air flow control to do mouth to lung vaping if that is what I still did, though many will still have more airflow when restricted than the tanks designed for mouth to lung that I started on.

What I do when I get a topper with one of those tail-pipe looking drip/mouth pieces is remove it and put it in a bag with all the others that I don't like (IE: anything made with metal) and get out one that I do like. WaLa....now I'm a happy vaporer again.

If you ever played a flute or tooted a pop or beer bottle, you can close your lips around part of the pipe to further restrict the air when you inhale instead of exhaling. You may still have to close down the tank's airflow, but you can sometimes get what you want by "sipping" through the larger top.

Sounds like you bought a sub ohm , DL set up when you were use to a mtl set up. Did you want to change to this? Or was it sold to you without you knowing the difference?

I think that Tank uses a Standard 510 Drip Tip?

If so, you have about a Gazillion Options to you. And you would Probably like one that has a Smaller Inner Bore for a more restrictive draw.

That's not true. Vaping mouth to lung is just like puffing on a cigarette. Milions do it.

Simply not correct.

A "mod" is a battery holder with an attachment to connect to some type of atomizer.

Whether it's a cig-alike, pen style, round, square or hexigon shaped, single battery or quad, their main function is to power the atomizer. It's what's on top (atty, carto, RBA, RDA, pod, etc.) that is the most significant difference in the actual vape...amount of draw needed, etc.

I agree that changing to a smaller bore mouth piece (drip tip) and changing air flow can make a big difference in how a particular atty can be utilized---but the OP might want to ask about atty's more suited to "mouth to lung" as well.

There are a lot of options. Just one of the things different about vaping with a mod vs. a cig-a-like is airflow. A cig-a-like is rather restricted by its design. It is a style and has been around a long time and it is functional for those that want only that. Vaping with a mod, on the other hand, has gone the way of some hobbyist's drive for making clouds or fast inhalation desires. Cig-a-likes just don't have the options beyond just getting nicotine.

So, you got a big ol' wide-mouth drip tip. I have heard them called tailpipes, too. Most drip tips are inter-changeable in that their connection to the top of the tank are the same size. If you purchased your set-up at a store, I would go back and see about a drip tip that has a much narrower air hole. As was mentioned previously close down the tanks air-flow controller.

Their is even a lot of variability with drip tips. metal, plastic, 47 other materials are used to make drip tips. Length, etc. I probably have 50-70 of them for different reasons. You will probably also after a while. There are specialty places for elaborate ones, but e-bay is a place to see many in one place.

I will politelty disagree also because it isn't so much the atomizer but rather the technique. I am presently using a Melo III Mini which is an Airy large bore mouthpiece but I am vaping just like it was a Nautilus Min! Granted some of the unrestricted tanks it is hard to do but still possible. Just my opinion and based solely on this users experiences.

I think you should look at buying a Nautilus Mini tank and coils for it as well. It's very good for the mouth to lung style of vaping that most closely resembles smoking, where you draw the vapor into your mouth before inhaling it.

Yes! It's a great deal. I quit smoking with these exact same vape components, but I did not buy them in a kit. I bought each thing separately, and it cost a whole lot more!
