Problem with 901 - Huge disappointment

Hey gang,
I have been trolling for ages doing research. I came here after I ordered a blue (and loved it!) but after seeing the videos and whatnot decided a super mini wasn't for me. Ordered a 901 kit from TW, just got it, and unfortunately I am having issues. It came with two auto batteries, and I figured if blu could get them right that TW's 901s would be good, but so far no luck. You have to drag so damn hard to get the battery to activate it is impossible to use. Both of them. Anything I can do except attempt to RMA? Would love to get these working! Thanks!

My 901s are manuals and have a very light draw. I've never tried an automatic, but what you're describing doesn't sound right.

After the first five minutes I sucked the plastic end cap out of the cartridge, LOL. Discovered the hard way that those should be removed to increase air flow. Even with it gone, the batteries are equally hard to activate. It seems like the one I am using may be 'warming up' a little bit. It's still a hard draw, but I used to smoke hookah, so rawr I will keep it up until it works well or I get too sick of it and call TW. Just dipped some of their tobacco fluid on my blu tho, tasty!

You don't have your fingers over the area were the battery and atty screw together do you? I think they take air in at that area when you draw as well as at the front where the LED is. just something to look for.

There's one hole in the atty that is meant to draw air in when everything is fixed together. If I gently puff on the batt itself it lights immediately with just the right amount of pressure, however once everything is put together I have to pull so hard that I'm getting liquid. If I cover the hole the battery immediately lights, but of course I cannot vape because there's no air flow. Driving me crazy, I have new atts and batts on the way but this is driving me nuts.

You definitely want to get a manual battery or you will always be frustrated, plain and simple. And if you don't want to have to change batteries every hour and a half, then I would suggest the 5-8 hour batteries that only cost $2.50 each.

I had this problem, the one thing I could figure out to do was partially cover the air inlet hole, there's just one on the atty. It makes it harder to draw but the battery gets more suction, and thus activates easier. just use a piece of tape, or your finger whatever works for you. I hope that helps.

I tried that technique, stabby. I was never able to get it to work well. Eventually the batteries loosened up some, but I have some manuals arriving soon. Pretty sure I got knockoff 901 parts from TW so having all authentic bits from eatmall soon should help.
