so i have this rta for a week now. I have watched all the videos for building this rta, looked at all posts on this forum regarded to this rta, tried many coils, more cotton, less cotton.. And i just can't get it right. I've wicked it at least 30 times and almost all the time there is not much vapour coming out and it tastes like ..... Sometimes it's even gurgling and spitting.. I'm giving up on this one, had no problems with Berserker mini or with Siren.. Ammit is original not a copy. So if anyone can help me with something i would be realy gratefull.

safe distance from a black hole
It's strange, for some people it works without any problems..
No, is it good? i'm thinking of buying new rta if i won't be able to fix ammit.
There is a thread here Ammit MTL RTA
As you say, some people struggle with it and some have no problems.

These are usually signs of a "flooding" issue. Probably not wicking it correctly. In general, RTA's are not very forgiving with wicking errors.

I don't have that RTA and can't offer any more specific advice. Live and learn. Good luck.

The below diagram is just an example of incorrect wicking, not specific for your Ammit. On the right, you can see the ends of the wick are not properly restricting the liquid from the juice ports, allowing the deck to flood. Completely restricting the flow from the ports would have the opposite effect --- dry hits. Find the compromise and you should be fine. (easy for me to say) ;)

@krokodoko, some rebuildables can be problematic and just not play nice with you. Just put the Ammit in the back of a drawer or shove it in storage somewhere else, don't let it annoy you and at some point in the future you can revisit it and hopefully beat it into submission then.

@Coyote628, iJoy Limitless Plus is a dual coil DTL (big clouds) RDTA (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomiser). I don't think that it would be a good fit for @krokodoko, single coil MTL is what they're looking for.

But you can't go too wrong with the Expromizer V4 or one of the Coppervape Hussar Project X (MTL or DTL, DTL version can do a very airy MTL if you close the airflow down), both are single coil.

The X clones will allow the use of a coil with more wraps or length though, which is very useful when using low resistance wire such as Stainless Steel and allows you to get your resistance upto 1 ohm range easily. Also there's guides for coil rods in the base / build deck that help you properly place the 2.5mm ID coil, and that helps make things easier.

I recently got a couple of the Coppervape X clones (non MTL) and on my first build with one I easily reached over an ohm with a 29AWG (0.28mm) 2.5 mm ID 10 wrap SS316L spaced coil, was too cool for my liking but produced a decent vape non the less.

The Expromizer V4 doesn't have guides for coil placement, but that's not much of an issue. Wicking is a little bit trickier than the X and it uses a 2.5mm coil which can only be about 8 contact wraps, which is not too useful with low resistance wires and trying to get a high resistance.

Hopefully though @krokodoko you'll find something that suits you and more importantly works well for you.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I would not give up on the Geekvape Ammit. Suggest posting your question in the following forum:
