I've got an Atlantis II, and it is one of my first tanks, and I want to get it working. Here's the problem--for some reason, the base will not make a connection with my mod--any mod, no matter what. I bought a clone just to try a theory, and I was right--I changed out just the base and the tank works great. But what could it be with the original base? I have tried adjusting the 510 pin everyway I can think--everything seems to be in order, but this base just won't work. Anybody??? Got any theories?
I own a couple Atlantis 2 tanks and one v1.
I've had them for quite awhile but all three are still kicking even though rarely used.
The problems I've had in the past with all three have been due to either a bad/cheap knock off coils or the 510 not protruding enough.
If you haven't already, change the coil with the knock off base since you know that one works.
I usually have to use a paperclip or small screw driver every once in awhile to push the 510 connector from the base out a bit to make it make contact with the mod's 510. Also, there is an insulator around that 510 pin, make sure it hasn't cracked/broke or come off.
Unfortunately that's all I can think of.
Those tanks have always been pretty solid performers for me in the past with just a little maintenance.
