problem with cartos...

hey everyone
so just got my new aw imrs in today and been using them for awhile now but dont notice much difference between the reds and black ones i got. but anyways I'm out of attys and have a bunch of boges cartos so i wanna use them up before i put an order in for attys. so my problem is im always having the juice spit up and not much flavor at all. so when i taste tht nasty taste ill give it a lil push on the bottle and when i push too much i suck the juice right into my mouth and when i dont push hard enough i get tht nasty taste in my vape... im getting really frustrated and dont know what to do. i can sqounk perfectly with an atty on but having so much problems with a carto. ive even just filled a carto up and vaped it without pushing the bottle but cannot get the flavor i like outa them, and throw the same carto on another pv it will taste compelty different. so can anyone give me some tips and tricks when using a carto on the reo??? ive read many threads that cartos work really well on the reo but i cant get my reo to work well with them. so any suggestions would be awesome!!

Ah...new IMRs take a few charging cycles to reach their full potential. I think for me it was about 5 cycles.

I'll leave the carto assist to more knowledgeable folks.

Maybe try inserting the little reducer tube in the feed tube if you haven't already - sounds like it may be feeding too freely? I've been using cartos on my REO's for some time now - I switched to the super shorty SmokTech 1.7's, never cared much for the Boge cartos. I squonk them much the same as I did with atty's - just lightly draw while pressing the bottle until you hear a gurgle or feel any resistance.

i completely forgot about the reducer tube. i just put it on and ill see how it works out in a few hours of using it with the reducer tube. im using a vg base juice so i didnt think my juice is too thin. but it might be????

@ rhap - 5 cycles eh???? now i cant wait to vape even more and drain the batteries and see how they vape after i charge them a few times.

I'm a HUGE Boge carto fan and use them on both My minis exclusively and I'm just the opposite I can juice a carto like nobody's business and not such great lick with an Atty. What is the VG content of you juice cause if its lpw VG and high PG then what pianoguy said you may need to install the reducer tube. I use very high VG juice and I just push the bottle lightly and draw slowly till I hear the gurgle then I fire and go nothing special really

oh nooooo i just droped my reo for the first time and right beside it was a little round silver washer about half an inch big......i dont know if its part of my reo or if its from something else. anyone know what im talking about?!!!!! but reo is working fine. im probably over thinking and it doesnt even belong in the reo but im sure i had nothing on my floor but who knows.....too much nicotine making me go crazy.

but since i put the reducer tube on i havent sucked juice right into my mouth when im blind sqounkin with a carto
how far in do you stick the reducer tube in??? i got it in as much as i can and now my tube seems pretty bent in the bottle, i dont think it matters but just wondering.

pmoraldo- im not too sure what the mix is....i order from jugheads and its his vg line.

You're fine No washers on this mod especially one a half inch big.

The reducer tube doesn't need to go in far...just enough to grab. You actually could cut it in half and save a piece. That's what I do. Just make sure you leave enough to grab on to in case you want to remove it later.

Sorry you are having problems. I use 100% VG juice in all my atty's and cartos. I only have self-feeding when the weather is hot, or my REO is in the heat. I have never needed a reducer tube.

What ohm cartos do you have? The AW IMR work great with a LR cartos. I feel the regular 2.0 is a little too cool. I like the vapor and flavor of a 1.8.

Did you pre-fill your cartos? There is no need to. I put mine on dry and then give just a tiny squonk. I use the blind squonk so I stop when I hear a gurgle. Don't draw very hard. Draw slow and very easy when squonking. That will keep the juice in the cartos and not let it shoot straight up the tube and in your mouth. It takes very LITTLE juice to be ready to vape. I squonk then draw without firing, then vape. With a new cartos you will need to squonk more often just at first. As it gets wetter inside you squonk less frequent.

This sounds just like me. Be sure you are not over filling the carto. If it is spitting juice it sounds like it has too much juice in it.

I cut my reducer tube down to about 1/4" long and shoved it into the feed tube until it was flush with the bottom end of the tube - it's not hard to squeeze it out of the feed tube if you want to remove it. You don't want to have the tube resting on the bottom of the bottle, or you will have problems getting it to feed at all.

well been vaping all night and i think the reducer solved my problem!! now I'm not just sucking the juice right through the carto.

True, if that happens, just unscrew it and blow it out...when I used cartos I would blow it out gently in the well as not to lose any juice! Glad the reducer solved your problems...I've never used it and have tons of reducer tubes laying around.

I got a few of those tubes in a baggy myself Never used them either with attys or cartos all the way down to 100% PG

I just do the reducing my self .... squeeze lighter and draw lighter

Glad you got yours working well though. There is no right way, what ever works for you.
