Hey everyone. I just bought a new X6 and I'm having a weird problem. So when I bought the new battery I decided to try to get into dripping and bought a Nimbus to go with it. They both arrived today and I decided to try them out. I filled up the protank that came with the battery and everything worked fine. I then switched to the Nimbus and the moment that I connected it and try to use it my battery blinked like it was out of charge. I plugged the battery in and let it fully charge. I tried again with the same result. I thought the battery might to broken, but I switched back to the protank and everything worked again. It there something I'm doing wrong with the Nimbus?

Your Nimbus is running a Coil with to low Resistance for the Battery to safely operate.

The battery is refusing to engage and The Blinking Light is your WARNING

Seems no included documentation of minimum, but Net Chatter suggest 1.2ohm or higher.

Wow, ok so I just check the ohms with a reader that I have and it's averaging about .9. So should I just rebuild the coils? I'm brand new at this, so if I should can you recommend what wire I should use?

The other posters have already figured out the issue, but for future reference this is a really great site for a lot of vaping things. I'm about to start building my coils as well and I've found this to be quite helpful!: Coil wrapping

Thanks! That answers a lot of calculating questions. Just one thing I'm confused about though. It says that for the build I am trying that I need 14 wraps. Does that mean 7 on each side?

Make sure each variable is accounted for, for example the larger the inner diameter of the coil, the less wraps needed. You can link directly and exactly what you have on your page if you simply copy the URL and post it here. The website will also explain each term so that you can understand better how to use the calculator.

EDIT: Also, you are checking your coils on an ohm reader, correct?

go back and put dual coil, once you do that, it will be for each coil.

I'm using a digital multimeter on the ohm setting

Coil wrapping

So I used the default diameter number and I found a wire website that said 1.5 would be the safest to start out with. I'm vaping at about 3.8V but I can't find anything online that tell me the amps of a X6.

The link says the URL has been removed.
@Jaxon88, your link won't go live until you have 5 posts and the servers update at :25 past the hour.
  • What type of wire are you using?
  • What gauge wire are you using?
  • What is the diameter of the tool you are using to wrap your coil on?
Then @chinacatsunflower- can re-run your numbers and repost a link.

All of it is what the page defaulted to except the ohms. That I changed to 1.5.
So according to the defaults (that I see) you are using:
  • A1 Kanthal wire 30 gauge
  • Building a single coil (not dual coil)
  • Wrapping your wire around a 1.3mm tool
Is that what you will be doing/using?

If a Single coil calls for 14 wraps and you want to operate Dual coils at the same resistance, you would need 2 x 28 wrap coils. :D:shock::lol:

Best to stick with a Single coil build with that battery.
