Problem with new juice?

I've been buying my juice from V4L for over a year now and have had nothing but great experiences so far. I just got 2 new bottles in the mail yesterday though and I am having a strange issue. I ordered the nobacco watermelon and cinnamon roll flavors, both highly rated by user reviews. Neither fluid seems to have the taste or smell they should.

Instead each one just has a wierd floral/perfume taste. I can't tell the difference between the two, each is a different color and one was made in march of 2010 the other in Jan. of 2011, thats what is printed on the bottles. The only thing I can think of is that with the weather could they have frozen during shipping? and would that effect the flavor?

I have the same issue with some VG Nobacco banana I recently ordered. I'm not getting a banana taste at all, just flowers.

Same here, I got 2 different 30ml bottles of Espresso with a weird artificial taste. Customer service was great though, and I've got a replacement flavor on the way.

I am so glad to see this post. I just got a bottle of my wow cowboy and it is totally differnt then the cowboy I have been getting for months. I put in a ticket so I really hope they will correct it. I hope it's just a mistake somewhere in the process of labeling or something, I'm praying they did not change the recipe, thats the only juice I really love.

So maybe I'm NOT crazy... I started a thread a few weeks back about an unpleasant undertone to a couple different juices I had recently purchased from V4L. But I only got a couple responses and half of them said my taste buds must be off.

I've basically written off several bottles of juice because they taste like crap. Hadn't really thought of asking for replacement bottles, because I just assume the new ones will be the same.

I'm more and more convinced that V4L has an issue with some new ingredient or something happening in transit (freezing or something?)

Are the juices you ordered ones that you've had in the past? Did they taste different? The reason I ask is because to some people, the "flowery" or "perfumy" taste is much more obvious. Yes, the watermelon is one such flavor that has the flowery taste to it, not sure of the cinnamon roll since I've never tried it. Some people don't notice the flowery undertone, while others...its much more noticable. Sadly, I'm also one of the few who can definately notice it. Some juices, its not bad (like orange juice) while others, it makes them unvapable. Just thought I'd let ya know that it could just be how the juice is...its not bad, (as in expired or anything,) its just how its made.

Please don't take offense when we first say that your taste buds might be off. Most of us have had that happen & V4L juice is pretty consistant. So far every juice that tastes "wrong" has been me & not the juice, but I don't doubt it can happen. If you contact customer they will make it right.

I, too, have had some flowery/perfumy incidents. I think it's mainly my sense of taste & smell because I do have a super nose and very sensitive taste buds. I smell things other people cannot smell until I point it out (sometimes not even then!) and taste things others cannot taste, sometimes even if I do point it out.

The ones I have gotten that I didn't enjoy, I've passed on to others who have LOVED them! I never thought to request a replacement either, now that I think about it.

Nomi, see if V4L will exchange your banana VG for some of the new WOW VG juice (no banana available, though). You bought the old discontinued juice, so maybe its shelf life has hit the skids? I've got some of the new VG on the way myself and am looking forward to trying it. Gulak.

V4L was very nice and just stated that they would replace the two bottles for me with flavors of my choice. I really can't ask for more than that. I am pleased that they stand behind their products as not all vendors do in this business.

As to what the problem is with the bottles I received I do not know. I had my wife try both of them, she is a non smoker/non vaper and she said the same thing, "tastes like flowers". I'm writing this off as a fluke. I have always had great experiences with V4L in the past. Sometimes things like this happen, it's not a big deal. They took care of the issue and I will continue to buy from them.

I'm finding myself vaping the Banana Nobacco that tastes like flowers (with no resemblance to banana at all) more than any other flavor right now because it's actually a light & pleasant flower scent/taste and it's about all I have that's 100% VG at the moment (after lots of experimenting, I find that's where I need to be because my lungs & throat can't handle even lower level PG mixes).

Also learned yesterday that my particular issue with the flowery juice may not be with the juice but with me. Just found out I'm pregnant, which radically changes sense of smell & taste. Shock to the husband & even more to our 18 yr old daughter. Wonder if I can I blame it on better health from cutting analogs.

I have been buying the wow cowboy for several months. I filled a new carto with the new bottle and a different carto with the old bottle. The taste is completely different. It taste like fake sugary cotton candy. I put in a ticket to v4l yesterday but I have not gotten a reply. I just wanted to post this because of the post about taste buds. I have my old juice and the new juice side by side and they are not the same. If I was trying it for the first time, I would never complain, I would just mark it up with the other 100 juices I have not liked, lol. I just hope they fix this problem for me. I have been ordering from them since I started vaping and so far they have been wonderful, I hope that continues.

I am a medical professional and I can give you a little advice about this. As far as I know the main reason not to Smoke while pregnant is the tar, carcinogens and other toxins in cigarettes. Vapeing only has nicotine, PG, flavor and water. Nicotine is a stimulant. The only thing I would advise you of is that Vapeing while pregnant will raise your Blood Pressure and Hear rate. In a normal pregnancy this is not an issue.

But as always every person is different. Please consult your OBGYN. If this is your first pregnancy, when in doubt call your Health care provider. If you have had kids before then you know what to expect.
