No, I think what happened was, OP ordered a black kit, which came fully assembled with black o-rings installed, didn't realize it had black o-rings installed, didn't realize it had spare o-rings at all, saw the red spares in the goodie bag, made an assumption that they needed to be installed in the tank before use, and couldn't figure out how it should be done because there was nowhere for them to go (because the spots where they do go, were already filled by the black ones.)

This doesn't look like there's an o-ring there, to you? It does to me...

Yeh i thought about that but then i rejected it considering this....
If you have a tank that's pre-assembled then what would you do? Try to vape on it? Or try to assemble it by de assembling it further?

It does look like an o ring though but seems too thin no?

I hate it when newcomers do this... Post a question and don't respond for 2 years to it.
Let's see...

Hi everyone, very cool community. Thank you all for jumping in to help. Upon closer review, I do believe that there are o-rings installed, which actually makes things worse because after completely cleaning and drying the area around the o-rings, with alcohol, the extremely weak seal persists. It should not be this easy to dislodge the top and base. I believe I read something about possibly needing to establish a pressure seal, but the act of adding the juice, seems to disrupt the seal. I am going to have to take it to a vape shop for help, because it can't be this bad, given that I stepped up to the higher end unit. Once again, thank you all for jumping in so quickly and I apologize for the delayed response. Got crazy busy! My bad! Not cool after everyone responding so quickly. Sorry!

Just to be sure, you have a coil screwed into the base, and the upper tank section screwed into the top of the coil with the glass sandwiched in between the base and top section, right? Then you flip open the lid to access the fill port without unscrewing the top from the base.

No offense to you but i think you're maybe missing something we're trying to tell.. It'll be much easier if you have a friend who vapes or a local vape shop near by and you ask them to assemble the tank for you. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you. It literally takes 10 seconds to assemble it and it shouldn't be this much trouble. :)
