Problem with Vision Spinner II

Hello! Super-Newbie here, first post. I hope I'm posting in the correct place too.

Anyways, I'm having problems with my Vision Spinner II battery. My cat's tail hit it off my desk, which is about 2 and a half feet off the ground.

It was fine, It still worked, and I was able to finish off my tank. BUT NOW, the button isn't working (I guess). It still lights up when I press it, I can turn it on and off, It's just not producing any vapor. I noticed also, that If I hold the button down for 9 seconds, it just flashes.

This is my first vape, and i'm really lost. I need guidance if there is a way to fix this problem, or if I should just go buy a new battery. Thanks in advance for anyone who helps. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

The fall may have causer the center pin of the battery to get pushed down so that it is not making a connection with the atomizer of the clearomizer/tank. This usually occurs from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector. Just make sure that if you use something conductive (metal) to pry up on the center pin that you do NOT hit the fire button while you are working on the battery. Or better yet, turn off the battery.

Are you sure it's fully charged?

The lights flash when the battery needs to be recharged or when the protection circuit has been tripped (to protect the battery from overheating--like when you press the button for too long).

That said, the problems with Vision Spinner II are unfortunately quite common. You may have to get a different charger--or send your battery back to your vendor and ask for a replacement, if it's still under warranty:

It seems to be working like it should. Its probably either the center pin got pushed down in the fall which I guess could happen. Possibly also (especially if you had just set it down from using it the hot coil may have popped. I've dropped a couple while using them and had it happen.

EDIT:Rereading it doesn't seem like it would coil. I'd stick to the center and see if that does it. The could is cheap so I'd try it second.

The problem may be lack of contact with the pin inside the 510 connector. It happens with any brand, not just the those in the subject line of the blog entry for the fixes.

Go to the ECF Search at the top of the page.
Enter "Fixing The MVP/VV3 Contact Issue" without the quote marks.
It is the second item listed.

Pulling the pin up was only a temporary fix for me. I'm going for the Circuit Board Spacer fix.

The Circuit Board Spacer ($0.89) is available at madvapes dot com
Google "madvapes circuit board spacer" without the quotes.
The Google link should take you directly to the spacer.
It is a round green circuit board with a hole in the middle.

Direct Links that will probably be automatically deleted due to my low post number:

DONT BUY ONE! The authentic Vision Spinner II is total trash. Vision knows this battery is seriously flawed, has publicly promised to remedy the charging issue but over a year has passed and they still have not done so. Also, it has proven to be a fire hazard (DHL will not even ship them because of this), yet Vision continues to market them without addressing these issues. SHAMEFUL!

This advice about "double-dipping" to get proper charging is an insult to the average person's intelligence. That is Vision's solution to the problem and is even stated on their website. Can you imagine any reputable manufacturer offering such a lame solution instead of just fixing the problem.

What's more, they refuse to provide refunds without making you jump through hoops. First they told me to submit a serial number which does not exist on the unit but supposedly is printed on the flimsy packaging which would naturally be discarded before realizing that there is an issue. Then they told me I would need to submit a detailed video that demonstrated the issues I was having). What a joke!

Vision is now on my BLACK LIST for such shameful behavior.

Anyone offering a positive review of this battery is either extremely lucky to have a received a working battery or they have less than scrupulous motives for doing so. Most retailers are no longer offering the product and those that are should also be black-listed as well because they are well aware of the issues and are simply trying to unload their inventory on unsuspecting customers. JUST AS SHAMEFUL!

I will NEVER purchase anything marketing by Vision again...EVER! They are just another Chinese manufacturer that produced a great product (I own a couple of the original Spinners which have worked flawlessly for over two years) and then followed up with a defective product and a total unwillingness to make things right for their customers. The terms "quality control" and "customer loyalty" seem to NOT be part of the Chinese language IMHO.
