Hey all, quick question. I've searched the forum already and didn't find an answer to my specific query. Is there something wrong with Aspire's 1.6Ω BVCs (the "General Coils", not the Nautilus ones)?
Currently I have a handful of Aspire ET-S' I rotate through with different flavors. I purchased a 5-pack of BVCs awhile back to have on hand as replacements for when the coils they came installed with burnt out. I'm pretty sure I ordered 1.8Ω, but I got 1.6. It was a little late to return them, but no matter. Just adjust the voltage as appropriate, right? They read as 1.5 on my MVP 2, but I've heard that it's common for them to be off by 0.1 + or - and it seems like most Aspire coils I've encountered so far are like this. I also realize that new BVCs can have a burnt taste that goes away after they've broken in. However, it seems like with one of these new coils I get a few good puffs, then it starts to get harsh. The flavor will disappear and it eventually morphs into an awful burnt metallic taste which I'm pretty sure shouldn't be normal for these, even if they're not fully broken in yet. If I let it sit for awhile (or even overnight) the flavor will return briefly, then it's right back to the burnt metallic taste. I've had 2 coils in a row do this.
I've checked the security code on Aspire's website and they're legit. I'm giving them plenty of time to wick. I'm not running them too hot. I'm not chain-vaping or firing them too long. I'm not drawing too hard. I am using 50/50 juice which I realize is "right on the cusp", but I've never had this problem with the 1.8 BVCs (or the BDCs for that matter) using this same juice, set-up and vaping habits. Is this a common thing with these coils? If the whole pack is potentially going to be like this, I'm wondering if I should just toss the whole thing and go track down a pack of 1.8 BVCs.

Thanks for any help, info or answers you all can provide. I appreciate all the great info and tips I get from this forum. Thanks for helping out a newb!
