Can anyone help me. I have a ggts with a cov high drain 18650 3.7v battery. I have a madvapes dual carto tank at 1.5ohms. I ended up blowing up one battery. I bought a replacement pre-punched carto and replaced the one I was using since i thought there was a short in the carto. Now it still doesn't work. A lot of gurgling and it still seems that there is a short. My ggts works fine when i'm running my madvapes clearomizers. I really want to utilize my tanks since i vape all day long, but i'm unsure what I can do to fix my problem. Should I change the battery?

yeah mine is over wicking too I have the tank slid up high on the carto to block the hole I punched this carto myself

I'm just using the standard pre punched hole. I punched the first one and thought that was the cause for my over wicking. Apparently that wasn't the case as I'm still having the same issue. i may just slide mine up too. thanks for the advice

Check out the GG subforum there may be more people there using carto tanks on the GGTS that may be able to help.

That being said can you give me a little more info on how you are using it? Are you using adapters or did you take off the over flow tank. If you are using adapters which ones. Have you tried it without the adapters and overflow tank? How open is your draw controll? What kind of juice are you using (PG/VG ratio).

I know that is a lot of questions but as I understand carto tanks the juice is drawn into the carto by the suction when you take a hit. All of the above questions can hinder your draw which would in turn suck more juice into the carto from the tank. For example if you closed the draw controll completely or covered the draw holes and took a puff you would likely end up flooding your carto and or with a mouthfull of juice.

Yes I am. I'm using 510 to 901 and 901 to 510 adapter

Have you tried it without the adapters and overflow tank?
nope, but will try. I will admit I greatly dislike the way my ggts looks without the top portion of it being on.

How open is your draw controll?
Fully open.

What kind of juice are you using (PG/VG ratio).
I'm using a juice that a local guy makes. Unsure of the pg/vg ratios

So i may have figured out my issue as far as why my battery blew up. the madvapes dcc tank comes with a carto that has a ring around the bottom that acts as a stopping point for the tank to sit on. i had mine sitting flush touching the brass cap to my ggts. I think that may have been the cause and shorted my battery out. i'm now using it so that the bottom portion is no longer touching the brass cap. I haven't had any gurgling issues and if I do i'm going to just slide the tank up so that less juice is fed into the hole
