That's fluted... and if it were mine, I would have the repair done instead of replacing it. That's just me, though.

Fluted? I've always called it Ribbed, but fluted sounds more elitist.

OK... time to vent

It's no secret that I am a consumer of all things ProVape... and I've purchased... oh... shall we say, quite a few.

And OFTEN when people are selling their ProVari... they offer up every darned accessory they have for it, including the batteries, to drive the price up, of course. Occasionally, somebody is just sick of them, or they feel it doesn't meet their needs anymore.

WELL... I heard a tale of a fellow selling a P3 Ti... so I contacted him... asked his price... and agreed to purchase it. He even said he was going to toss in the batteries because he'll never use them again, his new mod has built-in LiPos (200 watts... of course)

The P3 arrived... in pristine condition, just as he described it and the photos clearly demonstrated. And as I was unwrapping it... I discovered 8 red IMR batteries in with it, some were 18350, some were 18650.

All 8 of them were junk. I am now the proud owner of 6 EH Pro 18350 IMR and 2 18650 Counterfeit AWs. I contacted the seller to let him know the PV arrived safely, and asked him why he decided it wasn't good for him... asking how many of those 200 whopping DNA watts he was using...

Yep, he vapes at 15-18 watts... And his battery life sucked... so the mod obviously sucks.

His dealer told him the EH batteries were the same as AW. He also sold him the fake AWs when he bought the mod.

Well, here's a message to the dealer... You're a scumbag and a thief. You completely denied this customer, that trusted you, the chance to experience one of the best PVs on the market. This is because YOU, rather than running an honest business, decided to STEAL his battery money instead of supplying the necessary batteries for it to function properly.

FULLY CHARGED... the EH 18350 batteries have an IQ of 27
FULLY CHARGED... the AW fakes have an IQ of 33

SHAMEFUL SHAMEFUL SHAMEFUL

I offered to send the guy his Ti back, along with a couple of proper batteries so he can experience it the way it was designed to be used. He elected to have me keep it. And won't tell me his dealers name.

At this point, in my opinion, the dealer is a thief and the consumer is protecting him... they are "friends".

So to the dealer, you have a lot of nerve calling yourself a professional, you don't deserve to carry ProVape. You can't be trusted to setup the customer with the equipment to get the job done.

And to the customer... Shame on you for protecting him. He's not your friend.

For what it's worth... This is how I was able to buy a ProVari P3 Ti in immaculate condition... For $100 bucks including shipping and fees.

As far as I'm concerned, at this point... I rescued it. /VENT

Just curious... How come so many people want to brow-beat ping into vaping "their" way.... If he did things the way everybody else did, his name would be "Callawaygolfer"...

He doesn't take a brow-beating worth a damn anyway.

There are a couple scenarios where the board appears to be acting normally, but no power goes to the atty. Bypassing the reverse protection can cause one of the scenarios, if the battery is inserted backwards for even a second. The control section keeps working, but the regulator is toast... it appears to function... well, everything but the important part, that is.

How do you bypass the reverse battery protection, well, besides the way Zapped did recently?

It's even worse if the dealer really doesn't know the difference between batteries, though I wouldn't be surprised.

People can be SO clever with those flat top batteries, I swear some times, people will buy the wrong battery for a myriad of reasons, often price, sometimes perceived value, and they never get to experience the real performance of a device. Is it THAT hard to follow the advice of the manufacturer and use the battery that THEY recommend?

I have a used V1 and the previous owner apparently added a drop of solder to the positive battery contact. It works with flat top batteries and performs just as well as my others, but losing that reverse battery protection makes me extra careful. Kind of weird using a ProVari with any concern.

I am resigned to using it as is, as the cost to get it back to original would likely involve a new board. At least it isn't my daily driver, and it sure is a pretty little mongrel lol!

It's amazing all the posts in one day. I was 3 pages behind, so excuse the quotes.

Wow, Bronze, sorry, but nothing to add. Ticket to Provape time, methinks.

First thing out of Kat's mouth Ticket for Provape. Funny how we think alike.

Certainly nothing obvious.

Ticket taken out. Me thinks my precious, nearly 3 year old P2 is going on vacation to the great northwest. :)

It's rainy reason there I think. Wrap your P2 in heavy plastic.

Thanks. Yes, they have fixed ProVaris for free. Especially for people they feel sorry for. :)

They have to feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for you and I never met you.

Honestly I can't see Ping being brow beating into doing anything .

Sent from my i6S+

You are so right and thank you I think.
