That was my thought as well. When a mod has 4 screw holes for a coil, I'm prolly not gonna bother.......

I refuse to like a post from a family member who's having a bad day. Today will just make the next good day, that much nicer. Yes it will!

We're related for sure, my dearest of dear Kats!!

Well......you know what they say.........

Wait for it..........

Bigger

Better!
No reason to be intimidated by the Calix. The coiling might be just slightly more difficult than a kayfun, but after you have that, I promise the wicking is sooooo easy. Especially via the indirect method.

First off, whoever made the statement that you will wonder if they forgot to actually put the device in the box was accurate. Wow is it light. Wow. (I did NOT buy this for weight savings - but wow.... It's light and I like it that way!)

I did have an 18490 in the car!

On a sad note - it shipped with Version 38... So I'm already an update behind and I just got it. Lol. Oh well.....

But here's some pics!

I keep saying this; the numbers do not tell the story.

It's magic.

I'll wait until many of you have them and effervescently talk about them before I consider one.........I was a late adopter on the Kayfun Bandwagon and even the Kabuki sled. But once I did get on, I managed to get three of each. So shall it be with something like the Calix!

I was brave and ordered one, we'll see if I can put a coil on without blowing myself up! If I can, I'm sure you can as well.

I'm sure I probably could. But I'm having such a great experience with the Kabuki and how utterly idiot proof it is, the question I have to ask myself is do I want or even need a Calix?

Not an invalid point :)

I will probably get a couple more Kabukis, then I will be set for toppers...5 kabukis and 5 RBAs. At that point, my only worry in the event of a vapeocalypse will be eliquid, so in a week or two I may head over to the DIY section and see how hard it would be to get my feet wet making my own joose.

I'm going to get a 2nd Radius. That will give two Radii, one P3, 2 KFL+, 1 Russian 91% V2, 3 Kabuki and enough coils to last over a year. The owner of my vape shop has assured me if the Vapeapocalypse comes, he'll take care of me with juice and I buy almost all of my juice from him. So I figger I'm in OK shape.

DIY gave me a freedom like nothing else - not even the ability to rebuild can touch being able to DIY my own juice to suit me. The possibilities are truly endless and the money savings are HUGE. Ask questions - none are too dumb! There are a few threads I have participated in over in the DIY section but you will find your way through easy enough. Read a bunch. Find a DIY calculator you are comfortable with. Find some recipes you think sounds good to you and - this is MOST important for you because in initial success is very important - follow the recipe! I can not stress this enough. You can make tweaks after you have some success but following the recipes that are tried and true will show you that you can do it :)

Awesome! I get paid at the end of the month, so I will likely do just that! Especially since the vendor I have been using for my ADV refuses to test for AP/D.

DIY totally changed the game for the better in my case. I was hating every flavor I tried, until I realized through DIY, that most e-juice was way over flavored for my taste.
There are a couple folks that have some pretty comprehensive blogs in the DIY sub-forum. Reading them saved me a lot of time and from getting a bunch of stuff I didn't need.
dannyv45's blogs are a goldmine of info: dannyv45's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

Hoosier's blogs are worth a read:Hoosier's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

And there are tons of good people over there to answer any questions.

Thanks! @tearose50 pointed me towards them! Big fan of wood as a tip material.

This is a valid point. Just wait and see for others to like. Once you get some more opinions, I'm sure you'll make your decision. :D

No shame in waiting!
