My adapter for the 901 the delrin washer is recesed , my atomizers are getting hot quite quickly and yes there is the silcone washer still present on my atomizer . I guess I need a replacement adapter :( or what size is the washer I will try and find one to get this beast up and running properly until I can get a new adapter .

Both atomizers I received from puresmoker suddenly stopped working last night after a month of use with no issues- works even in 100+ heat in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada! After seeing this post I checked the adapter and found the delrin is indeed loose.

My BE112 801 atomizer strangely works just fine on the Prodigy.

I'll email Casey for a replacement adapter.

In the meantime Steve, can I keep the current adapter that presently works with BE112 801 atomizer? I would rather not have to go back to my backup ecigs while waiting for the adapter. I totally love my Prodigy!

hey steve i was looking at those photos and my adapter resembles the first picture of the one you say is shorted ...if i loook dead on at it i dont see any delron at all but when i turn it at a angle i can see some of the cute lil black stuff underneath the brass.
My prodigy works perfectly atm but now im a bit worried that at some point the delron might slide out causing a short.
Im just guessing here but from the photos it looks like it should have more delron protecting against a short right ?
anyhow thanks for the heads up i will keep an eye on it.

p.s. I was an earlier order i think i preordered the same day the preorder opened up and was one of the ones who got the prodigy within the first week. If that information helps at all.

Just got my PT and love it. Was having trouble at first but threw on a new atty and its working well. The gaskets and what not looked fine but there was some build up in the atty threads themselves. Not sure if thats the problem but it's all I can come up with for now. I will clean the threads manana and see if that atty will work. It is 3 months old and the threads have never been cleaned so that could be it. The odd thing I found is that 2 attys I got from one supplier have a tough time screwing in and when they are in melt the carts instantly. These attys are from a single kit I bought from this supplier. I have tried multiple attys from Electronicstix and totally wicked and they are working like a dream. I am using the 510 attys. Will post more as I proceed.

Thought I'd point out that resistors typically have a color bands on them to denote what the resistance is. I don't recall the key off the top of my head.

Brown is one of the colors.

I'll have to sanitize it a bit:
"Bad Boys Ruin Our Young Girls But Violet Gives Willingly".
Black = 0
Brown = 1
Red = 2
Orange = 3
Yellow = 4
Green = 5
Blue = 6
Violet = 7
Grey = 8
White = 9

My wife would say "You can remember that but you bought the wrong brand of toothpaste again!"

The problem is not caused by OVER-tightening the adapter, it is caused by tightening it to what one would assume is the correct tension. One needs to screw the adapter on to normal tension and then release it slightly.

scylla

This is CRUCIAL info...my adapter was overtightened & I spent 2 days thinking I had a dud, then I did the above (hand tighten & then release slightly), & the thing fired up like a champ...and all I can say is....WOW....

Well I got the replacement adapter for the one with the loose delrin. The puresmoker 801 atomizers still don't work :(

It does however work with the BE112 atomizers.

Hey Steve, how do we know this issue with the loose delrin won't happen again?

weird rink .... are those 801 atty's from us our new or old ones? Lastly, do they work on another device? The center post may have been pushed too far in on the atty's and need to be *brought/wedged* back out a bit.

unless you have the tools to press the adapter real real tight, the chances of cutting the delrin once pressed correctly are slim to none. Delrin is a VERY hard plastic, BUT, a pressing force is much strong ;) Thus, the issue we had early on :)

These atomizers are from my original prodigy order (one of the first ones that went out last month). I tried them on regular pen style battery without success- they light up the battery but there is no vapor production with that regular pen style battery.

Not sure what is up with these atomizers. I was very careful to keep them snug on the prodigy but not over-tightened as well. Perhaps there might be a short? It would be odd as these both stopped working simultaneously when I found the problem with the adapter.

Looks like I'll be using my BE112's until they outlive themselves. I like the idea of being able to purchase atomizers in bulk from you. Hopefully with the corrected adapter there will be no further issues like this with the atomizers you provide?

I appreciate your help in trying to figure this out!
