ok ...

I thought you meant it fired without you even touching the button - this would mean the spring was hitting the side of the tube ;) Seeing as you actually have to press the button (although short) to make it fire would rule that issue out.

Remember those pictures in the other thread. When you took apart your button, do you have a washer in between the 2 plastic pieces?

Lastly, the button should NOT bottom out on the bottom of the tube. There should be roughly 1/10th of an inch gap when fully depressed at minimum.

I watched you take a few drags and forgot that you were using it at 3.7v... I was thinking to myself, "Holy cow! How does he take such long drags?!?".

You've gotta try it at 6v sometime and you'll be wondering how 3.7v was ever good enough.

Just like I remember Sega Genesis has the best graphics and there was no way it would ever get better than that for video games, lol.

Luma,

If you want to longest throw possible, you'll have to do a couple things

1) Take the switch off the tube
2) Remove screw & dome piece.
3) Add 1 washer at a time to the lower round plastic piece. Put screw directly back on without the dome piece. If you don't get power, add 1 washer at a time until you do. This will give you the longest throw/movement. You can find those flat washers at Lowes/Home Depot or I'm more than happy to send you a few (you should have gotten 1 with your kit which is used for if/when you batteries get dented and you need to lengthen the switch.

I can also take a picture for you so you get the idea of what I am talking about.

I'm relatively sure this is what he was talking about.

For some reason, when I first got mine, I coulda sworn the button pressed all the way down when I first put it together. After a few test puffs, I wanted to clean mine as well, so I got some toothpicks, a toothbrush, some q-tips, and a hand towel and wiped it all down to remove any dust from shipping and my fingerprints (so proud of my new mod). After re-assembly, I found that the button didn't go all the way down, but since it made a good connection, figured I didn't wanna force it and dent the batteries. The button also wasn't as smooth to push as before I cleaned it, so I probably cleaned away any Noalox that might have been applied prior to shipping.

nicely done "first impressions" review! I don't understand the button thing you speak of. It's suppose to fire when the button is screwed out. (screwed all of the way in is the safety mechanism, at least I thought). I can't wait to hear what you think of it after you've used it for a while!

I guess i'll pick up some dual coil cartos now. I've only recently used cartos, as I like to use clear tanks. Thanks for the suggestion! They look really nice on the Prodigy too!

Once again, excellent review! Very clear and concise.

Alright I see. If you want more throw, remove center plastic boob piece, add washers until it makes contact. I still lost some throw since I took it apart but it works fine. I dont want to ruin it lol. I will run by the hardware store in the am!

Luma ... You won't ruin it bud :) take her apart, run her over, take some sand paper to her ... make her your own!!! lol ...

nothin more awesome than a V3/V3.1 with battle wounds :)
